This is by far the best chocolate ice cream I have ever taste. It even beats Haagen Daz in my opinion. My family practically flips out every time I make it.
Ingredients
1 1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup cocoa powder
6 fresh egg yolks, beaten
4 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/3 cups milk {half and half}
Directions
Combine egg yolks, sugar, cocoa powder and milk in a double boiler over medium heat until the mixture coats the back of spoon {about 5-7 minutes}. DO NOT BOIL.
Place the mixture in the refrigerator to cool down {about 2 hours}.
Remove the mixture from the refrigerator, add gently stir in whipping cream just until combined.
Pour into ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions. Enjoy!
A few years ago I received the KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachmentas a gift, and I just love it to bits. I keep the freezer bowl in the freezer when it’s not in use, that way, we can whip up a batch of ice cream when ever we’re in the mood.

Low fat chocolate ice cream
1 can eagle brand condensed milk, 1 12 oz. container cool whip & low fat chocolate milk (about 1/2 gallon). Freeze in regular electric 5qt. ice cream freezer. So easy and so good!!!

Do you mean half and half when you say combine with milk? There isn’t milk listed in the ingredients, but it is in the directions.
