This strawberry and blueberry trifle dessert was hands down the easiest dessert recipe I’ve made in a long, long time. With all the fresh berries available in the stores, roadside stands and our gardens this time of year, it’s the perfect dish to bring along to a potluck or to a friends house.
Umm did I mention it was super easy to make? 😉
Strawberry and Blueberry Trifle
Ingredients
- 1 vanilla cake mix + needed ingredients
- 1 pound strawberries
- 1 pound blueberries
- 1 tub cool whip
Instructions
-
Bake {2} 9-inch cake layers according to the direction on the box.
-
Wash and pat dry fruit.
-
Hull and slice all but 6 strawberries and set aside in a bowl.
-
When the cake has cooled, trim the layers so they will fit into your trifle dish.
-
Then stack {from bottom to top} in this order:
-
Cake, whipping cream, sliced strawberries, cake, whipping cream.
-
Next add a ring of blueberries around the edge of the trifle dish about 1 inch wide.
-
Place 6 strawberries in the center of the trifle.
