Take a look at what I just took out of the oven!
My friend Mama JJ alerted me to this blackberry cobbler recipe about 2 hours ago and I wasted NO TIME making it. Over the years I have tried many of JJ’s recipes and every stinkin’ they are so flipping good that I often times find myself wanting to lick the plate {okay, maybe sometimes I even do}.
I can’t wait for this to cool down.
Wahooooo!
Ingredients
4 cups blackberries
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
6 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
Butter an 8×8 dish and load it up with blackberries. Pour lemon juice over blackberries. In a separate bowl combined the flour, sugar and beaten egg until nice and crumbly {is that even a word?}.
Pour melted butter over flour topping.
Place berry filled dish of goodness on a cookie sheet and bake for 35- 40 minutes or until the juices are bubbly and oozing over the dish.
Cool. Serve with a big ole’ scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I just made this cobbler and my hubby and I like it better than my usual cobbler recipe! Plus it’s SO quick to make with only a few ingredients – now that’s my kind of recipe! Thanks so much for passing it along!

I may have missed it but I didn’t see the oven temp here so I want to the mama jj link and found it’s 375 in case anyone else needs it. My cobbler isn’t browning. My guess of 350 for the first 40 minutes was a little low! Still looks like it will be delicious though
