Eric, the incredibly handsome producer from Evening Magazine sent me a video of my segment which aired on King 5 Evening Magazine last night. I thought I would share it so those of you who are out of state could watch it.
What a wild and crazy few weeks this has been!

So awesome! So glad you posted this for those of us not in the Seattle area. I also really liked that shared how much you used to spend on groceries, and how much you have decreased that number over the years. You are such an inspiration.

Hi Mavis,
I’ve been a fan of your website for close to a year now. I have the tendency to “stack” my email updates so I sometimes read up to 10 or more at a time. But the fact that I read 99% of them shows how inspiring, how humorous, and how interesting they are! I have been a vigorous couponer for the past few years, but only recently am I really and truly trying to live more frugally. I have started at least a small stockade of canned goods, rice & pasta. I’m hoping to expand that to include household goods&toiletries. Even our cat now gets 16pd bags of his food w/coupons and on sale I easily save 40% or more. He’s a 30 pound large breed feline so saving money on feeding him is crucial. But hubby&I love him beyond belief so even if he wanted to eat gold flakes we’d probably oblige!

Meow! 🙂 Coupons are cool…

Mavis(and everyone else)
Please ignore the fact that I posted a comment that probably would be more appropriate in another part of the site here. I had just finished watching the channel 5 clip prior. I can completely relate to the bored suburbia housewife persona, obviously! Only minus the garden, the friendly neighbors, and the chickens!
BTW I already have seen that you already have a #1 East Coast fan..
So I am your #2 East Coast fan ( born&raised in DC, and now live in a nearby suburb)
thanks again
