I don’t know about you, but I cannot pass a Girl Scout standing outside on cold and gloomy March day with their sash full of merit badges and not buy a box of Girl Scout cookies from them. I just can’t say no.
I was a Girl Scout, I sold cookies, and I went to camp. And you know what? That one week I spent at Girl Scout Camp when I was a tween was the best summer of my life. I learned to sail, got my head checked for lice, made tiki torches out of Kotex pads, made arts and crafts, used an outhouse, slept in a cabin with no doors, and sang some really cool camp songs that I still remember to this day. It was the best summer ever!
So this week I am giving away 5 cases of Girl Scout Cookies.
Wahooooo!
5 readers will each win 1 case of cookies and they will have their choice of Thin Mint, Samoas or Tagalongs. Girl Scout cookie descriptions.
All you have to do to enter this giveaway is leave a comment below and let us know: What variety would you like to win: Thin Mint, Samoas, or Tagalongs?
Also, if you win, what will you do with your 12 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies? Eat them all? Give them away? Shellac them for all eternity? We want to know!
Rules
1 entry per person/ip address. If you cheat, you will totally be disqualified.
I will ship these cookies ANYWHERE on the planet earth, so go ahead and enter.
This giveaway ends Sunday, March 10th, 2013 @9 pm PST and the winners will be announced in the Monday, March 11th, 2013 edition of Mornings with Mavis. You will be notified via email and have 48 hours to claim your prize. If you do not claim your prize within 48 hours, the cookies will be donated to Operation Gratitude.
Good Luck! I hope you win.
Peace Out Girl Scouts!

Nancy says
Samoas, although they are all super duper delish! But overall, the family loves the samoas.
Karina says
Tagalongs (dosidos are really my favorite, mom is usually good for sending me a box, and tagalongs are the closest of your offerings). Thanks!
Tasha says
Samoas! Or Tagalongs. Or Thin Mints. I’ve been on a sugar fast since January 1 and haven’t been making many sweet treats since then, so my husband would be thrilled to get any of these.
steve says
Samoas!! Coconut, caramel and chocolate. What more need be said! I promise i won’t eat them all in one sitting. Well…. i promise to try not to
Alison says
Thin mints, I’m sure I would sit down and eat a full box to myself, but then I would be sure to use the rest for some really great desserts for my family. My husband and three kids can never seem to get enough sweets.
Lee Ann Ratzlaff says
Samoas are the best!!!
Amy says
Definitely thin mints! They are so delicious when straight out of the freezer, no joke! So straight into the freezer for two packs and then rest would be shared with my sisters in law who share an equal love for them =] I haven’t seen one Girl Scout yet this year. Usually they are in front my local grocery store but so far, no luck! Hopefully they’ll be out soon.
Shannon says
Oh, baby! What a giveaway! I bought two boxes a few weeks ago: thin mints and tagalongs. All the way home I kicked myself for not buying the samoas. I like to make homemade blizzards with samoas, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate syrup. Peace out, Mavis!
Crystal says
Samoas! I will share some and eat some!!!
Lisa D says
Tagalongs for me please!
Melinda says
Tagalongs! Yuuuum!
Tracie says
Samoas are the best thing ever. I will take the first box and lock myself away from the kids and eat the whole thing. I will take a second box and hide it for later. I will then give a box to the kids. And the remaining boxes I will take to the community garden on our spring clean up/opening day and bribe the people to help us get it all up and going!
Nichole says

Angel says
Somoas are the only way to go!
Kelli says
Love the Samoas! I would share with my family and co-workers but I admit—I would hide a box away that I wouldn’t share!
Ariel says
Thin mints for SURE!
Kari A. says
Decisions, decisions. Thin mints or samoas — my two favorite cookies on the planet! I would have to go with Thin mints because they are the “bomb” when frozen!! I guess I would have to share with my family and my neighbors though, if I won an entire case!
Darcy says
Mmmm, I love all three flavors! But I do believe I would choose thin mints because they remind me of my mom, who I miss so much! If I won I would put some in the freezer to keep for a little while, and the rest would be enjoyed by all the household members. We are going through a tough health crisis right now and girl scout cookies would do a bit of cheering up during a sad time.
Jennifer F. says
Thin Mints, please. My family loves them!! Thanks!
Deanna says
Thin Mint is my personal favorite…. If I was lucky enough to win, the flavor wouldnt matter so much. I would donate them to my 6th grade granddaughters band program for treats for the kids after an upcoming program. We all know kids eat whatever flavor of cookie!!! Coolest Memee EVER!
Elena says
Thin Mints, I freeze them and gobble them up at nap time and after the kids go to bed.
Amanda S says
Hi, thanks for doing this giveaway! I would take Thin Mints or Tagalongs. I guess Tagalongs would be better because both my husband and I would eat them, whereas he does not like Thin Mints and I don’t want to be greedy (although they really are incredible)! I would keep a few boxes, bring some to work, send some with my husband to his work, and give some to my parents and sister (my in-laws probably wouldn’t want them but I would offer anyway). 🙂 Yay for Girl Scout cookies!
Pam says
Thin mints! I will hoard them in the freezer until I forget them and then stuff myself o. A hot summer day, eating them frozen!
Jennifer says
Samaos!!! I will hid them from my children and try to ration them, but will probably eat a box at a time.
Enrica says
Thin mints! Can you believe I haven’t bought any cookies yet?!
Jen says
Hard to decide between thin mints and samoas, so either one. They are both so tasty! I would totally give some away, freeze some for later and give my kids (and my wonderful hubby) a treat! Although, I just bought a house and it might be interesting to create some art with the cookies that would be great for my kids play room….hmmm
Rachel says
Tagalongs! It’s a tough choice though because those are my 3 favorite; have been since I was a girl scout too! I’ll take some to church to share for “snack time” and put a couple of boxes in the food bank box. Then I guess I’ll share with hubby since he has a thing for chocolate and peanut butter! Thanks!
Nate says
Samoas, mmmm….. I can almost taste them right now. I would share them with my wife and kids. They love all the Girl Scout cookies and cannot pass on them either. I cannot have gluten – so no cookies for me – but I can still smell them all I want! Thanks for the giveaway. What great fun!
MonicaB says
Thin Mints or Somoas! They are my fave! I would share my cookies with my family and co-workers!
Sharon L. says
Former cookie pusher from Troop 27 reporting in! Man, I would sell over 500 boxes each year. Girl Scouts was such an important part of growing up. I would share some of the Thin Mints with my husbands co-workers.
Emma says
I’ve always felt left out when girl scout cookies are discussed. Everyone has their favourites, and I have never tasted any kind! 🙂 Samoas sound sinfully divine. I’d probably eat far too many myself, and then I’d start handing them out to people, starting with my elderly bachellor neighbour whom I’ve already managed to pile large amounts of baked goods on in the 6 months that I’ve lived here.
Sara says
Thin Mints! It would rocks my kids world!
Athena Mericsko says
Thin Mints rule! However, I would be so grateful to receive any kind. 🙂
If I was lucky enough to win a whole case I would be sharing them with the nurses & patients at the Cleveland Clinic’s Outpatient Cancer Center. I spent last summer & fall there undergoing treatments for my leukemia (in remission as of Dec. Yes!)
I head back there once a month for a check ups with my oncologist & I would love to be able to bring a smile to faces with boxes of cookies in hand. Some cookies for some “tough cookies”!
Also, not sure which email address I have listed, but the best one to reach me at is Athena.Mericsko@tri-c.edu.
Thanks for having such a great contest! Keep up the awesome work on the blog. I love reading it! 🙂
bonnie fuentevilla says
Athena,
Glad to hear you are in remission. Yay !
Athena Mericsko says
Thanks so much, Bonnie. It was a rough road, but I am very grateful for all the support I had & incredible medicine. 🙂

Abby I. says
Oh gosh! Tagalongs are my favorite! I sadly would eat a punch myself since I’m 6 months pregnant, but I would of course share with my amazing husband!!
Jody says
Thin mints for sure! Purely to score some extra brownie (oops, I mean COOKIE) points with my wonderful husband. That way he will be more understanding of what I need for my gardening… 🙂 And for good measure I bought him a hammock today. I can see it now, he is lying in his new hammock snacking on some yummy thin mints ……

Vicki says
Aahhhhh…the classic Thin Mint please!!
Dalene Wieland-Collett says
Thin Mints are an addiction, which is why we haven’t bought any cookies for two years! I would be sooooo popular if I won these!
Lisa says
I love your Girl Scout summer camp story! 🙂
Would love to win the THIN MINTS!
The twelve boxes?…one box for each of my teenage daughters, a box for my sister who loves everything mint!, and then probably stash the rest for movie night or when the girls have friends over.
Francie Lee says
I would love to give my daughter Meghan some thin minty minoigins. That’s what we call her, Minty Minoigin. Or mug cuggins. And guess what — She’s 30 now.
Joan Blurton says
Wow! Mention Girl Scout cookies and this site blows up! I used to be a Girl Scout, also went to camp, and got to be a Brownie leader for my daughter when she was little.
I am trying to choose between Thin Mints and Samoas….I think the Thin Mints are winning out, but…. As for what to do with them? I would share some with the family, but a lot of boxes would get hidden around the house, and what the family doesn’t know, won’t get them hurt. 😀
Debbie says
Thin Mints! Yum, yum. I’d share some with my friends and put the rest in the freezer. Thin Mints are good even when frozen.
cheryl middleton says
tag-alongs all day. they are a family favorite. there is always a fight over who gets the last one.
Diane M. says
Wellll…I have always loved the Trefoils for their simplicity. Shortbread is one of those universal cookies that goes with everything. Dress it up with tea in fancy china cups or go everyday and dunk them in coffee. Either way they are divine. I’d keep a couple of boxes for myself and pals (so we can have a little tea party) and share the rest with under-appreciated crew of the Guemes Island Ferry and the volunteers of Skagit County District 17 Fire Department who give so much of their time, put their lives on the line for their neighbors and do it all for free.
saralie says
Am I weird or what… I HAVE NEVER had a Girl Guide cookie before….so I dont know which one I would take…hmmm I am willing to try anyone of them…but for fear of being disqualified…I will go ahead and say the Mint Ones… 🙂
The cookies will be eaten by my 3 kiddos and Husband…if I feel really generous I may give one to my sister and her family. 🙂
MAVIS HAVE I EVER TOLD YOU….you have the BEST giveaways EVER, what will it be next A QUEEN SIZE BOX of Tampons? 🙂
Angela says
Tagalongs for sure. Nothing beats chocolate and peanut butter together. My family would eat some and my husband and I would share the rest with the teens in the youth department at our church. They are always hungry!
momof2cubs says
I love the Thin Mints! 🙂
momof2cubs says
Oh, i forgot…..I will save some for home and maybe donate some to my mom’s church/food bank.
Jamie says
Thin mint please!! I better give some away if I win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danielle O says
Thin Mints! No doubt!
You Can Call Me Jane says
Oh, man! Thin Mints all the way. And I would share a couple boxes with friends and family. Probably:-). The rest I’ll put in the freezer and try not to eat all at once:-)!
Kim says
Tagalongs would make my family and friends love me forever!
Selina Harvey says
Thin mints… I so need my Thin Mints… *sigh*
Sarah B says
Yum! They all sound good! I’d take thin mints or any of them!
Sophie says
Thin mints or tagalongs!!! Yum-o!! I would probably put one or two boxes in the freezer and eat the rest!! I have two babies to grow!
Anita says
Although it would mean that I would have to spend hours more at the gym each week, I would love to win the Samoas. I would indulge in a few boxes myself then would give the rest away to some lower-income elderly friends that I have. I know they would love them!
Kathy W says
Thin Mints of course! And they will hit the freezer, after eating the first box. Seems like they taste really good when in the frozen state. Plus, my kids NEVER go into the freezer, so it makes more for me! Oh, I will share with my mom if she finds out 😉
brenda vandee says
thin mints love them all love your site
Erin R. says
Thin Mints!
Julie Stowell says
I love Samoas !!
Kari says
Thin mints or tagalongs. I would hide them and closet eat them without my kids knowing. I may save one box for my BFF, but that’s about as generous as I could get with these. 🙂
Brianne says
THIN MINTS!!!
Heather Z says
Thin Mints! I would take them to work and share them with my coworker for midnight snacks!
Sharon says
Tagalog are my favorites!!!
Tanya @ Lovely Greens says
Tagalongs look the yummiest! And I love that you’re shipping worldwide because I’m in the Isle of Man and haven’t had a girl scout cookie in probably ten years. If I won I’d share the case with all the other ex-pat Americans and Canadians I know…they’d be so happy. Jeez…I’d probably throw a Girl Scout Party to celebrate 🙂
Kendra says
I would love to win some Samoas. I don’t like coconut except for on these cookies 🙂 I’d probably end up bringing the cookies to work and sharing.
Kellie says
The family has voted for Tagalongs. I would have to take at least a couple boxes to the church lady quilters, we quilt for Lutheran World Relief, plus the local crisis center and Hospice or Habitat for Humanity fundraiser. Plus I would take a couple boxes each for Soup Supper dessert and our turn for Sunday School snacks. Let’s see that would take care of half of them, if we keep two for our snacks and I hide a couple for the Christmas cookie stash, we can give a couple to Grandpa who is a real cookie monster. (He’s not safe holding your ice cream cone either but that is a different story.)
Renae says
I would pick Thin Mints, my plan would be to freeze some, use some in recipes, and give some away. But realistically, my five children will eat them all up and I will sigh. :-/
Sadie says
Samoas are our family favorites.
Sharo says
Tagalongs are my favorite!!!
Carol says
Mavis, I would love to win the Thin Mints! Our Girl Scouts won’t be selling any for months yet and after seeing your photo with one made my mouth water!!!
I promise to share with my husband if I’m lucky enough to win.
Thanks for the fun!
Kim says
Definitely Thin Mints!!
Becca says
My head is spinning with the idea of a WHOLE CASE. Each one is so tasty…but I would have to say Samoas! I just found out I”m not allergic to coconut, and I could eat as many as I want! I haven’t had them in so many years!
Heather says
Thin Mints! We would eat a box as a family, freeze a box of for our family vacation in August and share the other boxes between two families we know that are facing fourloughs in our area as a wonderful treat since “extras” are not in their budgets at this time!
Michelle Kenton says
I LOVE Thin Mints! I would so love to win a case of them!
Lynda Whittle says
Thin mints for me! We keep them in the freezer and eat them for dessert!
Lisa in IL says
Samoas are my favorite and I would hide the entire case from the people that live with me and not share a stinkin one. thanks for offering a giveaway, you rock!
Pat Giaquinta says
If I win the Girl Scout cookies (Thin Mints are my choice, of course), I would donate 1/2 to our local food pantry & give the rest to my 5 grandsons (my daughters can freeze them and use them as the boys need sweets for school lunches). Thanks for this chance to enter such a great sweepstake.
MaMaLaLa says
Hmmm, Tagalongs!
Andrea says
I’d definitely pick Thin Mints and eat them plain and as mashed up in ice cream!

If I win, I’d like the thin mint!!! Would crush them up and make crusts for LOTS of cheesecakes….I’d give them away to family and friends. Put a few in the freezer too!!!
Lisa says
I would say Samoas, but since I’d be the only one in my family to eat them, I’d better say Thin Mints so I can share. And share I would, with my family, my neighbors, my friends and one box would be shared with the bottom of my freezer so I could find them in mid-July when things around here get hot and busy.
Monica says
Samaos are MY.ABSOLUTE.FAVORITE!!!!!!!!
Jodie says
Definately Samosas!! They are the best if you keep them in the Freezer and take one (or two) out daily for a mid afternoon snack, or morning, or night, or anytime. 🙂 I guess I’d have to share with my boys…one for you, 2 for me, no make that one box for me!
carrie says
Samoas, I will use them to bribe my teenage sons to shovel off my raised beds so I can plant my peas on St. Patricks Day. I can’t tell you how much I love seeing your garden, especially this time of year, when mine is covered with a foot snow!
Thanks
Carrie
jaime says
Samoas are so good! My favorite type of Girl Scout cookie.
Becky H says
I would take any of them; any girl scout cookie is great. I prefer mint but husband would probably like Tagalong’s better so would choose that. We would share. These would be a welcome treat since we are cutting back and have pretty much eliminated things like cookies from budget.
Vanessa says
Samoas are my favorite! I’m sure we would eat them all!
Emily says
Thin Mints (but I would happily take any of them!)
Lisa says
Mmmmm. I would love a case of Samoas. They are the only ones that my entire family hates and I LOVE. I bought them five boxes of all other kinds but did not get any Samoas this year. I would love a case and yes, I would keep them all to myself. They would last me at least a week. 🙂

Thin Mints!!! I would eat some and share some 🙂 Mostly eat them!

#3~ Tagalongs
We would keep two then spread the love by giving the rest away!
Angela Spicer says
Samoas are my favorite!!!!
Lara says
Samoas all the way! Woo-hoo!
Kelly R. says
Is it sad that Thin Mints and Samoas are the only GS cookies I’ve ever eaten? When I love them both so much, you’d think I’d be more anxious to give other GS goodness a taste. Either of those would make me ridiculously happy, though. And it would probably look better to my husband if I won a case instead of went out and bought myself one. My boys and I would drop some off to the local homeless shelter, too. There would be plenty to share.
Gloria R. says
Thin Mints! So delicious stored in the freezer!
Amanda King says
OH WOW! Tagalongs! Totally need Tagalongs!
susan b says
Samoas. My boyfriend has been having problems with an upset stomach and I read somewhere that coconut cookies help with this. He’s been eating them for three days now and it really does seem to help. Who knew? He’d love these.
sandra says
Thin mints are my favourites, but I also like samaos. I’ve never had the other kind, but can you go wrong with girl scout cookies?
Ashley says
Those are my 3 favorites, but I’d have to choose somoas (although we call them Carmel Delights here). I’d eat some, share some, and freeze some 🙂
Tanya says
Thin mints are my absolutely, positively favorite cookies on the planet!! I “might” share 1 box with my family 😉
Ellen says
Tagalongs, and I would need to share most of them to keep from eating too many!
Katrina says
Samoas would go nice with a cup of tea in the afternoon.
Jessica A says
Oh I would love a case of Samoas, or smooches as my 5 year old calls them. We seem to have missed out on them in our neighborhood this year. 🙁
Jen says
SAMOAS!!!!
Bev says
Mint Thins all the way . . and I’m hidding them from the family :0
Amanda H says
Oh, yum! So hard to choose, but i think Tagalongs. I’d definitely share a bunch but also i think stash a few packs away in the freezer for late-pregnancy cravings this summer before my new little one arrives!
Jessica says
Thin mint please because they are refreshingly delicious!
Megan says
Thin Mints! Yum Yum. I’m 7 months preggo, so I would totally eat them ALL! My Fav!

Samoas look awesome! I would probably binge and eat a couple boxes and then give away the rest 🙂
Dawn S. says
Samoas! 🙂
Ashlyn Brown says
Definitely Thin Mints. It would be great to have a stash that I could slowly snack on with my husband during the year 😉
Tracey says
Samoas for me 🙂 and I would have to hide and hoard them from my 4 kids lol
Jennah S says
Samoas!! I would hide them away and eat them all myself.. Nah, I’d probably share them with my family!
Scott Muscatello says
Tagalong, please. Thank you very much
Stacy says
Samoas. I have a weird way of eating them. I put them on my fingers and then nibble them evenly all the way around, so they are always a circle, but they get smaller and smaller. It is odd but also bizarrely satisfying. With that many I would be entertained for weeks. 😀
Jen J says
I am the “cookie Mom” again this year, so I don’t need cookies. But I’m throwing my name in the hat so if I win they can go straight to Operation Gratitude. I was a Girl Scout (just dug out my Brownie uniform from 30 years ago – HA!), now I’m a leader, and my two girls do Scouts. They LOVED Girl Scout camp last summer and are begging to go the whole summer this year.
Thanks for all you do to promote the Girl Scouts, Mavis. And thanks to all your readers for supporting us too. GIRL SCOUTS RULE!
Jessica says
It would have to be Thin Mints! I work in a techie office, so I would let the engineers have most of them because they love sugar. They drink coke and mountain dew all day! Thank you for the fun contest!
Stephanie says
I would have to say Thin Mints…this way I am forced to share them with my husband and I dont eat them all. I would also probably share with my lovely co-workers. We have all bought from someones daughters this year and magically at least every couple days a box of GS cookies is left in the lunch room for all to share.
Tricia says
We love Girl Scout cookies and that’s all there is to say about that!
Cynthia says
Thins mints ROCK! I will hid them all over the house and eat them all by myself!
Sarah says
Thin mints ftw!
Ellyn says
Thin Mints! My daughter is no longer a Girl Scout so we’ve lost access to our favorite cookie. We sold them the hard way (door to door) to 200 apartments – none of this taking the form to work stuff. I don’t miss helping her take orders and make deliveries but I sure do miss the Thin Mints!
Ashley says
Thin mints are the best! If I can manage to hide a box or two from my handsome husband I would make thin mint chocolate ice cream. I might share some at work as well.
Gabrielle R says
I would love to have a box of Tagalongs. I would share them with my family and friends. Even though I would want to eat them all by myself I would feel guilty not sharing them. Thank you
Helen in Meridian says
Thin Mints all the way. Tikki Torches out of Kotex Pad??? We missed that craft. I got to go to the Int’l Girl Scout Roundup. Unfortunately it was in Idaho instead of some exotic place, but had a wonderful time. I will share with DH and sis if i win. Here’s to chocolate mint crumbs in my lap for days.
Angela says

You arrive and I get my fill
You’re filled with sweetest caramel lakes

For your honor the interwebs I fought
We don’t need to go out, now don’t be coy
Together we shall exprience loving joy
I would slay for you a twenty-foot boa
My dearest, sweetest love, Samoa
Coleen McGregor says
Samoas please! 🙂
Jules says
Tagalongs or Samoas. Anything but thin mints, because mint goes in ice cream, or gum, not in a cookie! I would dole them out slowly in the kid’s lunches. Or else hide them in my bedroom and eat them at night. Or when I first wake up in the morning. Or at lunchtime. and Naptime.
Sharon says
Samoas!! I really don’t have a favorite because I like them all but samoas are my husband’s favorite. =) He was so happy I surprised him with a box of samoas. How happy would he be if I won him a whole case?!

Laura at TenThingsFarm says
Thin Mints have always been, and will always be my first love in all of GirlScoutCookiedom. Husband likes the Samoas, but Husband isn’t the one entering, is he? Not that we’d ever turn down cookies of any sort.
Some would stay here, most would go to church. Just imagine the good you’d be doing…a whole church of people with minty-fresh breath!
Love your blog!
Veronica says
I sold cookies for 12 years and went to summer camp for about 6 years (I think). It was a lot of work and my Mom put up with a lot of cookies in her garage for a long time. My favorite are the Caramel Delights (made by ABC Bakers), which are basically the same as the Samosas (made by Little Brownie Bakers) but taste better.
Carol says
Thin mints! I would send the whole case to my mother, who loved those the best. She was my first girl scout leader way back when. And she was always my daughter’s best customer. This was the first year for a long time that we didn’t have a house full of cookies. Daughter has grown beyond that stage and we will have to wait another 10 years or more before I can start buying from her potential daughters.
Any how – a case of thin mints to my mom. She would love and remember them even if she hardly remembers who I am…
Peace out Scout!
🙂
Carla Priest says
Love, Love, Love Thin Mints…especially straight out of the freezer in the summer!!!!
April says
Samoas! I’d keep a couple of boxes and send the rest to my son who is serving as a missionary right now.

Melinda D says

Samosas, please. My family will do anything (almost) for Samosas.
I would use them to encourage/bribe my husband and son to help with heavy lifting garden chores like shoveling bark, and hauling bags of compost or potting soil.
I was a Girl Scout from Brownies to Seniors. (Daisies hadn’t been invented yet.) In junior high school, I sold enough cookies to go to summer camp for free in South Carolina. The camp was infested with Copperheads. Luckily, our counselor was an expert snake killer. Cool memories!
Thanks, Mavis. You a very generous woman.
~Anne

Thin Mints ! With 2 sons and a cookie loving husband I ‘m sure they would disappear as soon as I turn my back. I would make sure though to hide away a couple of boxes to share with friends over coffee.
Jamie says
Somoas are my fave, without a doubt! We have to chase the Girls Scouts down to buy cookies around here these days. It all started when we put that “no soliciting” sign on our front door to keep people from ringing the doorbell and waking our daughter. We haven’t seen a Girl Scout at our door since:( Would it be tacky to amend the sign to read, “Absolutely no solicitors…unless you’re wearing a green or brown uniform and a sash full of badges?”
Jenny H. says
I would love me done thin mints and plan to share them with friends, family & co workers!
Thanks Mavis!!

Thin mints are the best..my daughters when they were little were girl scouts and my granddaughter is a brownie…I would send each of my kids a case and have to freeze the rest..mints are the hubby’s favorite too.
Colleen Strongren says
Oh, I’m sorry . Meant to say box not case.
Amy says
Thinmints for sure!!!! We’d do our fair share of eating, but I’m sure a couple of boxes would make it out of the house to extended family… maybe. I’m 25 weeks pregnant, so no promises. 😉
Susan says
Thin mints! My youngest was a Girl Scout and we spent many a cold day selling at Fred Meyer.
She went to camp in her tween year, too (12) and I went along to cook…..and cook…..and cook! Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just 2 of us Moms in the kitchen….from sunup to sundown!
I have to say the day went by fast, and we were much appreciated. Everyone said it was the best food ever!
We slept in the “bird’s nest” I had a lot of fun!!
Lorri F says
You are going to make me choose between Thin Mint and Samoas? OMG that is just tooo hard! HMMM maybe Samoas since my husband ate our 1st box and didn’t share one cookie!

Definitely the tagalongs after scarfing down one box after they get here the rest would go on the freezer, but they’d be gone by the end of the month cause I’d probably eat another box every other day :s:s
Sydelle says
I love Girl Scout season. The first scout who asks I give my complete order. I usually order two of every kind, take half to work to share, and put half on the snack shelf at home. Sometimes, I even get to taste one or two. 😉

Tagalongs or Thin Mints??? How does a gal decide? Both are cookie nirvana! I guess the thin mints would be the way I’d go because some of the people I would share with might not be able to eat the peanut butter. I think I would keep one, okay maybe two boxes for myself and drop off a few boxes to the veterans at the local VFW (they have a lot of great programs where they work with some that are having trouble adjusting back to civilian life, so there is always a lot of people coming and going). I also think I would take some of the boxes to a local group home. The kids there would think it was a real treat.
Best of luck everyone!
Harmony says

I am a dispatcher for wildland fire and in the summer when we are really busy we have folks from all over the county that come out and help us with fires here in our area. I would share them with all the hard working dispatchers that get food, supplies and other resources out to our dedicated firefighters! Nothing says you love your dispatchers like food!!!

Thin Mints are always a hit.
Tag-a-longs are gone before you say ‘So long!’
But Samoas, are grabbed by rows!!!
Boxed in purple and crinkily plastic… little trays of EVIL..
Okay I’m a horrible poet… and on a diet… and really tempted to go out and buy girl scout cookies *cough* Samoas *cough* right now… you are evil to remind me that they’re out right now. What I would do with them? Err I’d probably eat a whole box in utter guilt then reluctantly share the rest with my sisters and three nieces.
Jeanne Blasher says
Samoas are irresistible to me. I love the taste textures: smooth, creamy, crisp, crunch! A CASE, Oh my goodness! I love to save them then pull them out for guests after the GS cookie season. What a surprise and great treat!

Duh…doesn’t matter…they’re GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!! Every flavor is wonderful. My fav has to be the Samoas… a few years ago I bought three boxes & hid them for later. Too bad I hid them so well they weren’t found for two years. Yuck…but I did try a bite to see if it was edible. 🙂
Susan says
Samoas! My son and I would eat them!!
Laura Arnett says
Tagalongs!!! Brings back memories- Girl Scout camp was always the best! That’s where I first played light as a feather—- if I win and eat the whole case The game will be heavy as a truck 🙂
Eleanor says
I like all the girl scout cookies but my favorite would have to be the thin mint. I would share them with my family.

Annie H says
Thin Mints. Best cookie with the best flavor combination of mint and chocolate ever created.
I would probably slip one box into the freezer (frozen thin mints….salivating at the thought) for myself. Okay, I’d put another box in the freezer for my husband and daughter. Then I would donate the rest! I know a local troop here has deal where you can purchase a box and they will donate it for you to a local food bank or shelter.
jessica says
oooo this was a tough one mavis. but the winner would have to be thin mints. we love to put them in the freezer as well. yummos! first, would eat my pregnant heart out and then share with everyone we hold dearly, and then eat some more. this baby on board loves girls scout cookies!!

Onilee says
I so want the thin mints! I was a Girl Scout forever. Selling cookies was the highlight of the year. I was the first one in my troop to sell 100 boxes and that was when they were 35 cents a box. I will never forget the thrill when one lady order 10 boxes from me. I thought I hit the jackpot. To this day the first Girl Scout that comes to my door gets an order for 10 boxes. Yahoo … Live on, all you Girl Scouts!
Katie says
Samoas!!!! And I’m sad to say that I will eat most 🙂 The kids will get a few boxes, but I will probably consume the most. Got cash back at the grocery store on Saturday, just to buy samoas, thin mints, and tag a longs on my way out!
Brenda says
Samoas–I will share them with my family and friends.
Shari King says
If I had to choose which Girl Scout cookie I would most like to OD on, it would be Thin Mints. It was my dad who introduced me to the wonder of Thin Mints years ago when I was a Girl Scout. They were his favorite and I’m sure I came near the top sales for my troop for his order was likely my largest! 🙂 It wasn’t until years later when I offered him Cookie of the Month club (I would make him a batch of cookies of his choosing) that I realized how much he enjoyed them. He requested Thin Mints for ALL 12 months! 🙂 I scrambled and found a Martha Stewart recipe that struck his fancy though they were LOTS of work.
If I win the case of Thin Mints, I would relish one box mysellf one by one (I’d have to freeze them to make the joy last), each with happy thoughts of my dad who is gone now. The other boxes I would send to those who loved him, sharing the story, and maybe igniting a passion in someboody else.
Like you, Mavis, I spent a couple of summers at Girl Scout camp and those experiences stick with me to this day!
Melissa W. says
Ohhh, its gotta be the Thin Mints … is there anything better in this life 🙂 … another great giveaway Mavis!!!

Thin Mints are the best (though the hubby would say tagalongs)! We would love to receive a case of thin mints, I would either be completely selfish and freeze them to enjoy for months to come, or share with friends, depends on how I feel when the box arrives…. they may be gone before the sun goes down 🙂
Jenny O. says
Samoas! I would immediately make vanilla ice cream with Samoa crumbles for our home, then get busy putting some in care packages to our military friends abroad and overseas. We know all too well what it’s like to be separated from our homeland and its tasty luxuries. (Thank you for the opportunity!)
Marilyn says
You are too cool to do this! I have all the cookies that I need from girls scouts and trust me they went right to the hips!

Depart says
Thin Mints – They would be my own secret stash in the freezer, buried under frozen bread and 1/2 used bag of ice, not to be shared with husband or children. However, I’m sure I would be found out eventually, and have to share. But we can dream can’t we…
MAnn says
THIN MINTS. Maybe share them with my sisters !
Kim K says
Thin mints! I think I would have to hide the boxes from the husband and kids and dole them out a few at a time for “good behavior”.
Kathy says
Samoas! I would eat them till I would explode! Then donate the rest to the local food pantry. Oh, and I might let the kids have one or two.
Nichole F. says
Somoas! They have been my favorite ever since I was a girl scout (let’s not count how many years ago that was lol). I would have my husband take a couple boxes to work, I would take a couple boxes to work, share some with the neighbors… but I would need at least 2 boxes just to myself! 🙂

Thin mints or Tagalongs please. Your comments brought back sweet childhood memories of weeks at camp, laughter and lots of fun. I’d send a few boxes to some Marine, National Guard and Army service people I know. These “kids” are so grateful for goodies from friends.

Thank you for your consideration of me in the prize draw.
Nicole says
So I literally just tried to make samoas! It was a huge failure, and of course it was a recipe I had found on Pinterest haha. But I would choose the samoas, they are absolutely my favorite. And my husband and I would probably eat our fair share. I’m sure a couple boxes would make their way to the hospitals we work at.
Faith says
I like them all, but my favorite is Thin Mints!
JR from Georgia says
Tagalongs of course! If I win, I would have you ship them to an Air Force Base in South Korea where my son-in-law is stationed for another two months. Those guys love Girl Scout Cookies and what a great way to show our appreciation for the scrafice they make to protect our great nation!
Thanks for being such a great inspiration! Go Girl Scouts!

Martha says
Yummy, yum, yum, YUM!! My absolute favorite GS cookies are the Trefoils, but since that’s not one of the options, then I’m going to go for the Tagalongs! Thin Mints are fabulous, but those can be sent to school (that means I’d have to share with the kids), but the Tagalongs have peanut butter so those have to stay home. Bummer. I WOULD share them with my family at home, and treat my siblings to a surprise box, too! Thanks for the chance to win!
Mindi says
I’d choose the Samoas, and since we’re a family of 7, they wouldn’t last long!
Celie says
i’m going with thin mints, too.
Karen says
Samoas. I will eat some, share some and I will most certainly plant one or two so I can grow my own Samoa tree and not have to rely on the Girl Scouts every year. Maybe I better plant three just in case the other two don’t make it. Our soil here isn’t the best.
Sherry says
I’m in my 60s and I still remember going house to house selling Girl Scout cookies. We weren’t allowed to sell in front of stores in my town back then.
If I win, Thin Mints would definitely be my choice. And I would share with many. There are quite a few retirees on our road who are fellow walkers and they would really need these cookies to keep up their strength!

Bob says
Thin mints. Typically, I don’t care for mint flavored items – except Girl Scout cookies. I’d share some at my work, my wife’s work, and hide some in the freezer for special occasions. Once my wife finds them, or if the kids were to find them, they’d be gone in a week!

I would like to try Tagalongs. I’ve never eaten Girl Scout cookies in my life before (and have always wanting to try one), simply because the girl scout in my home country (Indonesia) doesn’t have this kind of culture, and so is Singapore (where I reside now). 😀

Thin Mints por favor! I will eat them all!
Catherine B says
omg. omg. THIN MINTS!

OMG tagalongs? I’d definitely share the love and have some at my weekly Taco Tuesday where we have all our friends bring an ingredient for tacos and we eat together. It;s a great way for everyone to have a meal without cooking (much, or any) and we get to see our friends! We always share our extra foods/flowers/whatever we scored that week at this weekly event. Tagalongs Please! I would eat some, share some, and put some in the freezer for safe keeping.
Melissa says
I would use my case of Girl Scout cookies as prizes for playing “Wack-a-Weed.” The winner wins a cookie…Wack-a-Weed is the game I made up that gets my 6 year old to pull weeds with me. The goal is to pull the most weeds and once the bucket is full you well “Wack-A-Weed.” So far it has been a very productive game between the Veggie Garden, Flower Garden, and our driveway. Just don’t tell me son that he is working. So in a nutshell this will be used as currency in my plot to keep my garden weed free. As far as choice, any would do, but Samoas and Thin Mints are both quite a hit in our house.
Stephanie says
Oh, perfect, delicious Samoas are calling to me. I’d like to say that I would be generous or thoughtful or at least disciplined but in all honesty, I think the case would be gone in less than a week. 🙂

Samoas…give them to the kids and friends!

Bridget P says
WoW ! 400 plus comments I’m pretty slow at entering these things Dang! What the heck! I was going to say Thin mints that I would hoard secretly in my back closet, ahem I mean share with my family in many gracious and lovely desserts. 😀 No seriously love the thin mints I was a girl scout from grade school til i hit high school! I remember my dad buying cases from me since I was pretty shy and horrible at selling stuff (still am if people say they don’t want to buy something I go “okay” and apparently this is a no no in the selling world)
Well thanks for the smile from memories of my girl scout days!
Karonk says
Thin mints stashed in the freezer – the best!! I was a Girl Scout, my daughter was a Girl Scout and she just completed her Gold Award!!!! So no more cases of GS cookies in my living room lol!

To be honest I can’t choose between the 3, so which ever one you would send me would be great!! And what would I do with them? Well having a whole case means I could share some with those around me. I wasn’t aware that they made any type of GS cookies besides Samoas! lol They are my ABSOLUTE favorite, but they make me thankful that they only sell them once a year! I would share with my husband, since my boy doesn’t like coconut (weird, right?). But since my husband only comes home every other weekend from where he is currently working, I can’t be held responsibe if they are gone before he gets home.
Judy N. says
Wow! What a give away!!
I would love any of them since I live up in the N. Georgia Mountains and I haven’t seen any Girl Scouts selling them! I love the SAMOAS.
If I win I will Share them with my Neighbors!! Love the opportunity to Bless others and bring a smile on someone’s face!! Hi! I would enjoy any of the three flavors with THIN MINTS being my favorite. I was a Girl Scout all through my school years and an assistant troop leader after high school. A box for ea. of my girls and the volunteers who give up 5 week (Fri., Sat. & Sun.) to have winter fun watch the girls reach their personal cookie goal. After finally delivering the last of the over 200 boxes my daughter sold, you would think I’d run screaming from these especially since I’ve eaten far too many already. BUT I’m a sucker for Thin Mints (and Samoas, and Tagalongs).
The ones that were supposed to go “in the freezer” never made it that far so I’ll stock my freezer with some and donate some.
Grandma PattyB says
I would have you ship them, any flavor, to England to my son. He’s been saying that he’s coming home soon… for the past 10 years! Now he’s married to a wonderful English woman who has a very pretty 9 yr old daughter. I need something to entice him even more and Girl
Scout cookies would do it! Make him even more homesick! I hope.
Erin says
Thin Mints are #1 in our house, maybe because we’re Irish and cookie season is in March!? Both daughters were Girl Scouts and I was a leader so we would have lots if ideas for those sweet little cookies. Of course the best use is to open a roll and share them with friends!
Erika says
Choices, choices! I think I’d have to go with the Tagalongs since my boys like those better than the Thin Mints (which are my favorite, but I don’t think I could manage to eat a whole case of them by myself!). Just had a new baby here and have been craving sweets – a case of cookies would do the trick!
