Basics here too…I also bought yogurt, peanut butter too, but I added on tortillas and POP chips for the man! I went late 730ish and I was told by my favorite cashier I was the 1st double of the day…amazing! 🙂
Mavis says
Are you serious? 7:30 and you were the first one? Wow!
Heather says
Yes, I was shocked too! 🙂 I even bought a paper (eegawds, I know…purchase!)
to get one more sheet of TTVs as I had the pick of the store for three more things!
And no…I didn’t clear a shelf…lol!

I went to the Albertsons in Gig Harbor, but they didn’t honor the Planters coupon.

Yay! – an Albertsons post.
I stocked up on the cereal, had some $1 coupons, and some lesser values and paid anywhere between $0 and 68-cents for a box. I also bought those Hormel Compleats (I know you think they’re crap 😉 ) but they were free, plus you got the $1 CAT to double. So I got 5 of those = $10 to use on anything. Will go back and get a bunch of produce later.

Mavis , I didn’t know you can use more then one coupon on the same item. Don’t know how this works. I use coupons but not in the extreme you do. I need to learn how to find them more too. Can you give me a source so I can learn..
thanks and Happy Gardening!!
Mavis says
What state are you in Judy and I will try and find you a coupon blog you can follow.

We don’t double coupons here, but I was just wondering do the supermarkets you go to look down at you when you do multiple transactions (like the five you did)? I assume they were done during one trip…
Andrea says
Was my post purposely skipped over when you were responding to others?
Mavis says
Sadly I do not have time to respond to every comment that is left on the blog. But no, they do not look down on you for using coupons. Stores make about $0.08 for every coupon that is redeemed.

I picked up some free Success rice, La Victoria Tortilla’s (.49 each after doublers), free Mt Olive pickles, sugar, Jennie O Turkey bacon for .99 after doublers, peanut butter, peanuts and some other random assorted goods. My “early edition” Oregonian was a regular $1 Saturday paper yesterday but it included the doublers and coupons so I saved there as well, that was some exciting stuff.
I have gobs of Tillamook yogurt and am thinking of pouring it in the ice cream maker and seeing how that works out.
Mavis says
Ahhh I missed the rice! Sounds like you had a great trip.:)
