I think it’s going to work. I think The Girl Who Thinks She’s A Bird and I are actually going to be successful at this whole zebra pinata thing. Although lately I’ve been secretly tempted to turn it into a unicorn: Charlie the Unicorn that is. I know the teenagers would love beating Charlie the Unicorn to smithereens with a stick and then scurrying about for all the magical treats inside. But Charlie is gray. Boring old grey, and after all this hard work I don’t want no stinkin grey pinata.
I want our pinata to have a little flair. I mean really, if they’re gonna pulverize this thing I at least I want him to look good. I want Mr. Zebra Pinatas life to at least have had a little joy.
As I was putting another layer on Mr. Zebra tonight I was thinking. I was thinking about how when I started this blog all I wanted to talk about (basically) was growing food. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m still growing food. It’s just that once you understand how to do something and are able to do it well, you move on to the next great thing. I LOVE growing food and I’m going to continue to grow food. But I need more. I need to be busy because really, if it wasn’t for OCD, where would I be?
More of what? I don’t know. I have a VERY short attention span and tend to take on weird projects like walking a marathon, becoming addicted to coupon crack and as of late, pinata making. If I had to get up and go to work everyday and do the same job over and over and over again, I’d lose my mind. Yes, indeed I would.
Bottom line: I’m looking for a new gig once this pinata thing ends. Any suggestions?
