If you love eggnog and you love french toast, they you are going to love, love, love this recipe for baked french toast with eggnog. I made this recipe 3 times last winter and my family inhaled it every single time. 🙂 Yep, it was that good.
French Toast Ingredients
8 slices french bread, cubed
5 eggs
1 1/4 cups cup eggnog
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Topping
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 stick cold butter, cut into small cubes
Directions
Generously butter an 8×8 baking dish. Â Cut bread into 2″ cubes and toss into the buttered dish. In a small bowl, combined the eggs, eggnog, sugar and vanilla. Â Pour egg mixture over bread. Â Cover with saran wrap and place in the refrigerator overnight.
For the topping, combined the flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt and butter together in a bowl. Â Use the tips of your fingers {or a pastry blender} and mix until everything is combined and you have nice, fat, spiced butter crumbles. Â Place the topping in a zip baggie and place in the refrigerator.
The next morning, preheat the oven to 350. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar topping over french toast mixture and bake for 50 minutes.
Serve with maple syrup and powered sugar.

That’s all eggnog is good for! Every Christmas morning I make french toast bake using eggnog, very similar to your recipe. It’s delicious! As for drinking the stuff, no thank you.
