I came home from my trip to Monticello to find an nearly empty fridge and Monkey Boy informing me we “have no food to eat.” It’s amazing to me how after all these years the boys will not prepare a meal from scratch. I mean really, the HH has me, but I sure hope Monkey Boy marries someone who can cook. Otherwise he will be living on Doritos and fried pork rinds. GAG.
Saturday morning I spent about an hour pulling things from the freezer, heating them up and then stocking the fridge for a few days.
1. Curry Chicken {Freezer Meal}
2. Spaghetti {5 ready to go containers}
3. Hobo Chili {Freezer Meal}
4. Chicken and Rice Soup {Freezer Meal}
5. BBQ Chicken {I like to cook a lot at once and then freeze it for busy weeknights}
6. Breakfast Weenies {The package has to be opened on these so I’m not sure this counts are viable “food.”}
That doesn’t mean I didn’t head out to the store and go shopping though, because I did. But I went shopping for an upcoming segment for a New Day Northwest. Now, I’m not sure if these purchases count as work related because a New Day Northwest wanted me to highlight the latest local deals, or if I should count them as purchases for my family. I’m planning on preparing my cowboy caviar on live TV this morning {around 11am on King5 if you are local} and so not everything I purchased will be coming back home with me.
Yes, I fell off the Costco wagon again. But this was work related…. so it doesn’t count, right? What do you think? Anywho, here are my favorite local deals this week:

Great finds. Can I ask though, what will you do with all the avacados? I find they go ripe pretty quick. Do you freeze it? Just curious. 🙂

I swear that it’s a boy thing. My husband basically ‘starved’ himself when he was single so ever since he started dating me, he started gaining weight because there was actual good food to eat. He also downs food like it’s going to run away and eats things because they ‘taste good’ instead of because he is hungry. And no, he won’t touch cooking with a 34 foot pole.
