I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. With the help of coupons, gardening and bartering I am able to squeeze the most out of our grocery budget and still manage to have a little fun along the way.

The Girl Who Thinks She’s a Bird is your typical teenager. Except she’s awesome. Of course I may be a little biased seeing as how she’s mine, but you’d totally agree if you met her. Promise.

She’s pretty much the resident One Hundred Dollars a Month photographer. You can find her behind the lens of any picture I’m in 99% of the time. Not too shabby for an untrained high schooler.

She’s also my traveling sidekick. We ditch Monkey Boy and The Handsome Husband all the time and go explore new cities/states/countries together. She’s low maintenance and up for anything. That combination makes for the perfect travel companion. And the coolest daughter.
