Did you make a resolution to eat healthier this year? Well if you did {or if you just like citrus} this simple citrus salad will do the trick. Great for breakfast, lunch or a light snack, it’s pretty much perfect to eat year round.
Ingredients
1 navel orange, segmented
1 grapefruit, segmented
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon red onion, minced
pinch of sea salt
Directions
Peel and segment the orange and grapefruit, making sure to remove any white pith with a sharp paring knife. Place all segments in your serving bowl and toss with cilantro, salt and red onion. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Is this really good? Because it seems like what happens when you accidentally cut fruit on a cutting board that is “seasoned” with onions. The picture is pretty, but I can’t imagine liking this, but I could be totally wrong. 🙂

Umm, I guess I wash my cutting board after every use?
Tammy says
Well, I definitely wash mine too! Maybe since I don’t have a dishwasher the wooden board retains the onion smell?
