The weather here in the Pacific Northwest is supposed to be a bit on the dreary side this week. Which is just fine with me because I’d like to get a little painting done inside and work on a few new recipes without the distraction of the garden.
DID I REALLY JUST SAY THAT?
Yes, yes I did. I know once the fence goes up next week I’ll probably be outside from the crack of dawn until dusk each day playing in the dirt. 😉 So. My goal for this week… Make lot’s of yummy food and stock the fridge and freezer for the next few weeks.

Crock Pot Steel Cut Oatmeal with Apples and Brown Sugar – I like to make this Friday night so that come Saturday morning, I can sleep in a bit, but breakfast is still ready when I get up. {Pin it for Later}

Mavis, I saw your recipe for Lilac Jelly and I had to try it! I like those old heritage recipes, besides I have a yard full of beautiful fragrant lilacs blooming right now.
All the while I was thinking, mmm this doesn’t look good, it doesn’t even smell good but if had faith!
