If you love apples, make this recipe. If you love cloves, make this recipe. If you love apple cider, definitely make this recipe. Even if you hate apple cider, make this recipe anyway. Because your house will smell so freakin fantastic it will be totally worth it.
Move over Scentsy, there’s a new way to make your house smell downright edible. And unlike wax, you can can totally drink the end result!
Hot apple cider just screams Christmas, so there’s no better way to kick off the season than a nice big crock pot full of the stuff!
Ingredients
1 gallon apple juice
1 large orange
2 cups dehydrated apples {here’s my recipe}
3 cinnamon sticks {buy them in the bulk foods section}
2 star anise
2 tablespoons allspice berries
1 tablespoon dried orange peel
1 tablespoon whole cloves
Directions
Thinly slice orange into circle slices. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on low for about 4 hours. Stir and then ladle into glasses. Place a cinnamon stick in each glass for a more festive look, or add a little rum if you’re feeling feisty! Enjoy.

I have never used star anise. Where do you buy that?

My recipe is about 8 or so whole cloves and a handful of cinnamon red hots. the color is a beautiful holiday color. By the way, the Scentsy World headquarters is about 1 mile from my house.
