Quote of the Day “The fact that you aren’t where you want to be, should be enough motivation.”
I don’t know if I have used the quote above before, but if I have… Consider this another little nudge. 😉 Life is so short. Find something, someone, someplace that brings you joy. Because seriously, nobody else is going to do that for you. Stand up for yourself, be brave, take a chance and JUST.DO.IT.

With you on the happy! I’ve learned that that someone has to be you! If you aren’t happy all by yourself, if you don’t absolutely love yourself, no one or no thing can do that for you. . 🙂 I’m finding lots of inspiration and positive feelings from your posts these last few weeks, your excitement for this move shows! 🙂

Oh, also, I have the composting pail in this post, and it’s fantastic. Honestly, you can’t smell anything bad from it! I got it as a Christmas gift from my daughter a couple of years ago, and I compost enough that I’m going to order another one. One for on the counter, and one to let air out for a day after emptying. You don’t need to, I just like letting mine get some breathing room before filling it again, so one in use, and one cleaning. 🙂

I found one of these stainless steel compost pails at an estate sale for $1.00. Never been used! I love it. I had previously been using one of the ceramic ones. Pretty but breakable. I cracked mine, glued it and still used it but now that I found the metal one I would never buy a ceramic one again. Doesn’t smell and I am wondering if it also keeps the fruit fly population down in the summer.

Thank you Mavis! My husband and I recently sold our house in western NY and are relocating to South Carolina. We are tired of the long, long winters. I worked for the same company for over 21 years. We have no jobs and no home (currently staying at an Airbnb). We are just winging it! Too say I am stressed is an understatement. Your encouraging posts have helped me along the way. Best wishes to you and your family. I will admire the snow from afar :). I’m excited to be able to grow year round.

Sometimes winging it, is the best thing ever. You’ll be fine. 🙂 Also, South Carolina…. Your vegetables will be HUGE with all that warm weather and humidity!

I lived in the Charleston, SC area for 30 years and now live in Asheville, NC. Asheville is about an hour north of Greenville. Greenville is a lovely part of the state. If you need any information, please let me know.
