Peach salsa. If you like your sweet with a little kick, this stuff is for you. It’s inspired by mango salsa, but the day I decided to whip it up, I only had peaches. Turns out, not having mangoes on hand was a happy little turn of events.

We’ve been married 29 years. (I was barely 19) We have almost the opposite situation. We have always worked similar hours, sometimes exactly the same and at the same jobs. People ask how we can spend so much time together and still enjoy it and never (ok, rarely) argue. (We even do major remodeling together.) People always ask how you can POSSIBLY do whatever it is they aren’t doing and can’t imagine doing.
We don’t do anything special or scripted to make it work. Forgive easily. Kindness and generosity fill in the gaps. May you always find the best in each other, together.

One of your “books that look interesting”, Caitlyn Doughety “smoke gets in your eyes”….FANTASTIC! Changed my whole perception on death, and how I want to be “taken care of” after I pass. Recommend her YouTube channel as well. LynneinWI

Hi Mavis,
I love reading your blog, and it’s great that you are now a New Englander! Reading about life here through your viewpoint has helped me appreciate it more. I’m wondering if you’ve considered visiting Plimoth Plantation? It’s definitely worth the visit! I live in MA, and it’s awesome to have it (& many other historical sites) close by. My library network offers discounted passes. Over the years, I took my children to a lot of museums and attractions and state beaches with library passes! I just thought I’d make the suggestion. Take care and enjoy your summer.
