Mavis did you ever think of repotting the daylilies and selling them in your stand out front ?
Diane says
You wouldn’t even have to pot them up. Just wrap the roots loosely in newspaper and keep in the shade. That’s how people who do daylily swaps trade them.
Julie says
Planning to shop our new Aldi grocery store that opened yesterday. What should I be sure to look for that you highly recommend?
Mavis Butterfield says
So far my favorite things to check is the cheese section and the knock off crackers and cookies. 🙂 And the spreads and sauces are fun too.
Min says
Is there a community bulletin board at the recycle shed, you could leave a note you have day lillies you want to get rid of. Maybe someone would come dig them up and take them home. Does the town have a newspaper, maybe a classified ad freebie section?
Tamara says
Or see if you have a local gardening or homesteading facebook group and offer up the daylilies there. Someone will want them! I’m sure you can sell them! Have fun at the fair! Ours finished last weekend. The last year with one of my kids showing our chickens, kind of bittersweet. She will be off to college next year and will miss the fair altogether! Maybe I will have to step in and show some vegetables or chickens. Hmmmmmmm……
