I meant to get back on here yesterday to suggest chicken names but I forgot. I have a friend who is a university history professor. She names all of hers after first ladies…..Martha, Dolly, Eleanor….thought you might like that too!

I picked up my 5 yo twin grankchildren to spend Wed – Friday with us. Today we are sticking close to home watering “our” plants, filling up the bird feeders, harvesting food from the garden and enjoying the outside until it becomes too hot. Then off to the library to read.
Carrie says
Give your Children the World is great book! I discovered this book at our library when one if my cousins did a year of travel. She sent us post vards from each country ahe visited, we hung up a big map, and used this book to find great books about each country and written by authors in each country. Not all but most of the books we could request from our local library. There are still some that I am requesting. We dont home school, but if we did I would have used this to base our years curriculum off of. We consider oir selves “home schoolers who supplement with public school” because we love to really get into new topics.

Mavis, get checked for Lyme! One of my first symptoms was being tired all the time. Yes I know it’s summer and planting and harvesting are tiring in extreme heat but sudden fatigue is how it befell me
Anita says
Yup, agree. I read you had a tick bite a few weeks ago. 16 years for
me, and fatigue is still a constant companion. I’m lying on the couch instead of doing the errands I planned.
