I’m not a wine drinker, but my neighbors are. So I asked them to save me their wine corks for a few months to use for a fun little craft. I like to make my own wrapping paper using stamps, or even throw a cute stamp on a letter from time to time. But stamps are expensive and to have an extensive collection, it really adds up. So why not make your own?
I grabbed those wine corks and did just that. Here’s how:
Supplies
Wine corks
X-Acto knife
Pencil
Ink Pad
Directions
Using the pencil, lightly draw your desired design on the straight end of the cork {not the cork screwed side!}. If you are drawing letters, remember to reverse them and draw them backwards. Carefully cut out the design using the knife. Brush away excess cork and just like that, you have a stamp! Pretty simple, right?!
Repeat as many times as you have corks and then did those new stamps into an ink pad to create all sorts of fun projects. First up for me is some handmade wrapping paper!

Genius!!!
I’ve been wanting to buy a new stamp set for my Sea’s Crafty paintings “business” because I stamp the back of the frame when I sent a client their painting. Recently I’ve been doing larger canvases and my stamps are quite small so I wanted something bolder. But also I really want to add a heart (for people/ animals who I love) or an anchor (for clients I don’t have a personal relationship with) to the signature. This is a great idea!!! Thanks for sharing!

What a great idea. Could be a super simple stamp for small toddler hands. And I get to enjoy “finding” the cork for this project too.
