I’ve some across a few recipes lately that called for self-rising cornmeal mix. It wasn’t something I had on hand, so I decided to make my own! If you’re in the same boat and don’t feel like running to the store or can’t find it at the store, you’ll find this DIY recipe pretty helpful! It makes about a cup, but you can double or triple it to have on hand, as it stores well.
Ingredients
3/4 cup regular cornmeal
3 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Mix all ingredients and then store in airtight container!

Hi Mavis! I’ve just tried to access some of the links for the DIY mixes and it has returned a “Not found, error 404” message. Love your blog, hugs from Brazil
