This craft is a great way to get rid of leftover yarn and is pretty easy for little fingers. The whole project will only take you about 10 minutes–now that is my kind of commitment.
You’ll need:
- Brown yarn
- Googly eyes
- Small red or black pom-pom
- Tiny bell
- Candy canes
- Glue
- Tape
Directions:
- Tape two candy canes together at the center.
- Wrap brown yarn around the stems of the candy canes, leaving about 2 inches of the bottom of the stem of the candy canes unwrapped. Tuck the end of the yarn into itself to secure it.
- Glue googly eyes onto the top part of the yarn.
- Glue pom-pom onto the yarn underneath the googly eyes.
- Slide the bell onto a 3” piece of ribbon and tie the ribbon around the middle of the candy cane {over the yarn}. Make sure the bell is front and center on the ribbon, so it looks like a jingle bell collar.
Cute, right?

Mavis
Need a fun Christmas movie to pop in while you make your candy cane reindeers? Olive the Other Reindeer is a super cute movie if you want something a little different than the same old same old.

You’re amazing!
On another note, it looks like I’m going to have some teeth yanked for implants, too!
