I like doing most of my cooking during the day so when the kids get home from school the kitchen isn’t a mess, and I’m not rushing around trying to make dinner at the last-minute. This recipe for Honey Barbecue Chicken has got to be one of the easiest dinners ever. Simply marinade the chicken overnight, and place it on the grill just before dinner. Or prepare it ahead of time if you have a busy evening schedule {hello, fall sports anyone?}.
Ingredients
3 pounds chicken tenders
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
2 cloves of garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Mix everything but the chicken together in a bowl. Lay chicken in a 9″x 13″ pan and pour marinade over chicken to coat. Cover chicken with Saran wrap and place in the refrigerator overnight. Cook the chicken on the grill within 24 hours. Serve with rice.

The chicken looks really yummy (I’ll be trying the recipe for dinner tomorrow night.) However, the rice looks equally good! Coul you please tell me what kind of rice dish it is? It doesn’t appear to be just plain rice. Thanks!

Oh man Mavis, was this marinade fantastic! I used it on ribs and my family devoured it. Served it with lime cilantro quinoa. Dee-licious! Thanks for sharing the recipe. Love, love, love your blog!
