Whenever The Girl and I travel, I always make sure to grab those little plastic shower caps from the hotel bathrooms. They work perfectly to cover rising dough, because they will cinch to the side of your bowl, and still give to the rising dough. {It doesn’t really hurt that they are free either.}
Just spray the inside of the cap with some cooking spray, and stick it over a bowl of rising dough. If you are super frugal, you can wash them with dish soap and reuse them each time. {If you want to just get weird, pop that sucker on your head afterwards and give your hair an oil treatment–and if the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, he’ll totally dig that lingering bread smell. Ha!}.

At Dollar Tree they sell a box of 25 shower cap looking things to cover your bowls with. Comes in 3 or 4 different sizes in the box.

This is a great idea for those (like me) who have pets in the home that shed, as it will help keep any stray hairs from floating into the rising dough, as can happen with a dishtowel. Thanks for the brilliant idea, Mavis!

I never even thought of that benefit!
