If you are looking for a quick and easy original valentine idea for your little ones to bring to their Valentine’s Day gift exchange, look no further. These little robots will be the star of any class party! And your kids can help you make them assembly line style. Much better than the standard box of cards. These guys have so much personality. I might just have to gift one to myself.
Supplies
1 Conversation heart box
2 smarties
6 Starbursts
2 googly eyes
Glue gun
Directions
Turn conversation heart boxes over and have your child fill out the “to” and “from” portion on the back BEFORE you begin this project.
Attach two like colored Starbursts together with a dab of hot glue {for little helping hands, dab the glue on yourself and have your child hold the candy in place until glue is dried and stuck! Keeps little fingers from getting burned, yet still allows them to be helpers}. Repeat this process for a second “foot.” Then position your conversation heart box over the glued starburst feet and glue in place according to picture. Repeat with second foot.
Hot glue two Starbursts on the top of the box as eyes, and then glue the googly eyes onto the center of those Starbursts. Finish your robot by gluing a Smartie on each side to act as an arm.
Transport in a sturdy box.
