Today was the first day of the Farmer’s Market. What a beautiful day. No rain! I showed up just after opening and purchased 2 rhubarb plants. Perhaps I’ll be able to enjoy a stalk or two this year, but if not I’ll be looking forward to rhubarb cobblers next summer and for many years to come. I also picked up a bunch of radishes, romaine lettuce and 3 rosemary plants. Instead of planting a bunch of perennial flowers this year I think I’ll concentrate on planting edible landscaping. Now that the fence is in place I don’t have to worry about the deer eating everything {let’s hope}.
