As I mentioned a little a awhile ago in this mornings edition of Mornings with Mavis, I was in San Francisco, California over the weekend for a gardening conference. My buddy Harriet and online boyfriend Ryan from Botanical Interests was there, as well as about 75 other garden enthusiasts.
After taking a photography class and touring 5 gardens yesterday, Harriet and I got back to our hotel room late and were getting ready to go to sleep when the fire alarm went off.
I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve been in a hotel and a fire alarm has gone off {too many!} but this was Harriet’s first “emergency”experience so she was a little freaked out. Me? Not so much.
I think over the past 3 days, I’ve gotten a combined 10 hours of sleep. So to say I was a little out of it when this video was made, would be the understatement of the year.
My life is crazy. I can’t sit still. I drink too much tea and I don’t get enough sleep.
But you know what? I can sleep when I’m 80.
Life is what you make it.
So get out there and have some fun.
Even if it does mean you’ll end up forgetting to put your bra on before walking down 8 flights of stairs, and then talking to strangers in the street.

You are a crazy lady! I have been rousted out of bed in the middle of the night in London the day I landed. Talk about Zombie syndrome! And there was no fire.

When you were exiting the hotel it reminded me of those scary movies that look like they were filmed with a home video camera. I kept waiting for aliens or the Cloverfield monster to attack!
