I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. With the help of coupons, gardening and bartering I am able to squeeze the most out of our grocery budget and still manage to have a little fun along the way.

Lucy has turned the living room into her new command post. Every afternoon she sits on a chair placed by the front window and keeps an eye on everyone that goes by. 🙂 We don’t have any furniture in the room yet {just a bunch of boxes and random building supplies} but I imagine as soon as we get a couch in there she’ll move right in. Ha! Dogs are so funny.

  1. Not your fault Mavis, but I wasn’t “qualified” to get my free spice sample! The questions were just which spices I had used on chicken in the past so many months, and where do I buy my spices. I can’t see how my zip code would eliminate me, I don’t live in the boondocks!
    And you can’t go do it again, it recognized my computer and repeated I didn’t “qualify!” I can’t even answer two questions right… how depressing!

  2. I think it’s awesome that Lucy has decided to elect herself official neighborhood watch dog! Think of all that added protection for your neighbors that they don’t even know they’re getting! I vote that you tell them and they all supply her with endless treats and chew toys! lol
