Anne with an E Season 2 is out on Netflix and you can bet your chickens The Girl and I will be taking over the television to binge watch it this weekend. 😉 We loved the first season so much we watched the entire series back to back twice when it first came out so we didn’t miss anything. 😉
Seriously, if you don’t have Netflix, it’s worth getting just to watch this!
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,

We started watching #2 last Friday, the day it came out. Chazz and I enjoyed it all weekend long, and are re-watching season 1. Have you watched the Marvelous Mrs. Maisell on Amazon Prime. It is a hoot.

My daughter and I were surprised to love “Anne With An E” as much as the original “Anne of Green Gables.” How could ~any~ actress improve upon Colleen Dewhurst as Marilla? We thought Geraldine James portrayed Marilla very well– just a bit of difference, which we thought added a depth to the character that was enlightening.
And yes, a new Anne girl…..but, again, so well done.
My family has been thrilled with all of the Netflix originals!!!!! Well worth the monthly fee!

I loved the Ann of Green Gables original books and the original series, A remarkable girl with a lot of spunk.
Watched the Netflix Anne with an E series 1, I thought it was well done, I enjoyed Marilla and Anne’s characters though not quite as well the original ones, it was a little darker and edgier.
I was happy to see that the 2nd season was on Netflix, and I liked it about the same as the previous season although it was obvious that some themes were getting set up. I decided to stop watching it after she went to a party at her aunt’s home. I’ve certainly come a long way in my acceptance of people who live a different lifestyle than I do. I have all kinds of friends. But I don’t like the way the series has now been manipulated to push a LGBT point of view when it was never there. If I had been watching this episode with kids I would have been really upset.
Why does every coming of age story have to go down this same path and make everyone so enlightened when they accept everything and anyone who might feel differently is shamed.
Heads up to parents, watch and decide for yourself so you aren’t surprised to how the series is going.
