The HH and I sat down the other night and watched Deli Man. We found it very interesting. It focuses on third-generation deli owner, Ziggy Gruber. He owns a Texas delicatessen restaurant that some argue is the best in the country. The movie is basically a conversation about how these delis came to symbolize more than food–they embody so much of what is amazing about the Jewish culture. It was a good watch, and it’s free on Amazon Prime.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or if you have already seen it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

Mavis, thank you so much for the suggestion. I watched it on Saturday and loved it. I frequented Ben’s Deli in Queens, NY when I lived there. The movie made me terribly homesick and craving a pastrami sandwich. Time for a road trip.
Also, I second watching Grantchester. I Tivoed them all and have binge watched twice now. Have loved Robson Green for some time.
As always, thank you for being you and for the immense enjoyment I get from following your blog.
