I don’t know about you, but around here, we have a list of must-see-every-year-Christmas classics. When Elf, with Will Ferrell came out, it quickly made the list. It’s one of those movies that we own, but if you don’t want to buy it, it’s available on Netflix too.
It is hilarious, quirky, and fun–if you haven’t seen it, I totally recommend that you do. Tonight, the whole fam is going to sit down and watch it together. I swear, we watch it every year and it never gets old.
My Favorite Line in the whole movie – “We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup.”
If you want to make a whole day of it with your kiddos, start off my making these fun candy trains, that you can then turn around and eat during the movie.
Peace out Girl Scouts & I hope you’re having an amazing holiday season,
~Mavis
Christmas just isn’t complete without Buddy the Elf’s favorite food group: Maple Syrup

I watched this movie the other night (and will probably watch it again before Christmas) and find it hilarious. As a matter of fact, I’m going to answer my phone at school with, “Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?!” at least once a day every day next week. AND that movie is how I found Zooey Deschanel’s beautiful voice 🙂

Couldn’t find it on Netflix or Amazon Prime. 🙁

We are Jewish, we don’t celebrate Christmas—and “Elf” is the only Christmas movie we watch every year! It’s hilarious and our favorite line is “I like whispering too” and when he says the fake Santa at the store smells “like beef and cheese”.
