I know Meryl Streep is the star of the show, but anyone else think Hugh Grant has aged so well? π From the first time I saw this preview I wanted to see it. This one is also based on a true story. Florence Foster Jenkins was an American socialite and amateur soprano who was known and mocked for her flamboyant performance costumes and notably poor singing ability. I cringed when I heard her in the trailer. This should be fun!
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch itβor if you have already seen it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,

This movie is a wonderful love story. The fact that she really existed is the frosting on the cake.

I am afraid I won’t be watching this as even the trailer made me cringe. I don’t have perfect pitch but it is so close that being off almost hurts my ears.
Best wishes to those who are brave enough to watch the movie.

Why did I not hear about this movie when it was in theaters? I love both Hugh Grant (whom I think HAS aged well – so glad to see him in a role like this) and Meryl Streep, so I’m looking forward to watching this movie sometime this weekend. Thanks so much for the recommendation!

Reason you didn’t hear about this movie at the theatres, is that it wasn’t there very long! That said, towed my husband to it, me with great anticipation and him being a nice guy. He hated it and I enjoyed it. That said, it’s a see it once kind of movie.
When in music school, my theory teacher would talk about the concert and play the record she made. Oh the laughs we had! Had no idea until watching the movie her story β rather sad. And proof what money and a kind heart can do.

We happened to watch the movie the night this post came out. It was really sweet and well-done. I would recommend it, as cringe-worthy as it is in some places.
