Do you drink bottled water? Have you ever thought about where it comes from?
Tapped is a film that examines the role of the bottled water industry and its effects on our health, climate change, pollution, and our reliance on oil.
The Girl and I are going to watch it tonight. Have you seen it yet?
Amazon Prime members can watch Tapped for free.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or if you have already seen it. Did you love it? Hate it? Can’t wait to watch it over and over?

Haven’t seen it myself but I avoid bottled water if possible on principle. Tap water has more stringent quality requirements than bottled water, not to mention being orders of magnitude cheaper.

Thanks for posting. I am putting this on my list of movies to see.

If you are not a prime member netflix has it as well.

I’m cheap and therefore refuse to buy bottled water. Not to mention the insane environmental impact of shipping plain ol’ water in single-serve plastic containers! We have a reverse osmosis filter for the house (farm country=nitrates galore). That plus the gimme water bottles we’re given each year from our local bike shop keeps us in clean drinking water year-round.

Just finished watching this film and all I can say is WOW. It is a very powerful film. Makes me wonder how much of my recycling is actually recycled and how much winds up in land fills and the ocean. Don’t use bottled water, only from my tap. Thanks Mavis for posting about this film.

Thanks for posting this…I just finished watching on Amazon. Sooo glad I don’t normally drink bottled water. Now I’m going to seriously reconsider ever drinking it at all!

You might also be interested in Forks Over Knives…all about the health benefits of eating more whole, plant-based foods and less animal-based foods. Yay for gardening and eating fresh veggies! This documentary is free on Hulu (or at least it was the last time I checked).

I second Forks Over Knives, and will add Fat Sick and Nearly Dead to that. All about eating whole foods. These two documentaries motivated me to think seriously about my diet.
On the topic of Tapped, there is another one called Bag It, that is right there with it, but about the ubiquitous plastic bag. Both very interesting and all on Netflix!
I also clicked the link for that documentary called Fowl Play that you had on an earlier post. It was very disturbing. I even had nightmares about it and woke up in the middle of the night. I checked on my chicks at 1am and just loved them a bit.

Yes, don’t pollute the environment and release harmful chemicals, but don’t point to ‘climate change’. It was global cooling before and global warming here. How about we just talk about sustainable practices that won’t pollute and harm the earth in general? Cleanup the places we live and stop trashing our planet instead of blaming ‘climate change’.
