Tonight The Girl and I are watching Through a Dog’s Eyes. It’s a documentary that shows the relationship between service dogs and the people who use them. You know I am a sucker for animals, and knowing how much Lucy has added to our lives, I imagine this one might be a tear-jerker.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or if you have already seen it. Did you love it? Hate it? Can’t wait to watch it over and over?

HBO’s “Taking Chance” is not a documentary, but is based on a true story. IMDb: Based on real-life events, Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, a volunteer military escort officer, accompanies the body of 19-year old Marine Chance Phelps back to his hometown of Dubois, WY. I checked it our of our local library and watched it with the family over the Memorial Day weekend. It may not be your standard Friday night fare, but it is definitely worth your time. It will stay with you.
Through a Dog’s Eyes looks fantastic. We will have to look for it.
