One of my goals this year is to simplify and one of the ways I plan to do that is to sell or donate at least 1,000 ordinary items that are crowding our closets and drawers by the end of July. My goal date is set for the end of July because my neighborhood has a big community yard sale every summer and while I don’t mind dropping stuff at the thrift store, I’d like to see if I could make a few bucks at the yard sale first.
A 3 gallon crock, Apple TV {we now have Amazon Fire} a glass vase, 6 American flags, 1 Monopod my husband insisted we needed 4 years ago {and haven’t used once!} and the most awkward ceramic vase {remember when Martha Stewart had her mail order catalog?} that I bought a yard sale 8 years ago.
I’ve tried using it as a vase, to store crafts, to store pens, random stuff and nothing seems to look right. I LOVE this vase… but it’s time to let someone else figure out what to do with it. 😉
An old binder, a gamma lid {they are super cool and great for food storage} Monkey Boy’s scientific calculator {I’ll list it on eBay in the fall}, canning rings, fairy house jewels, wooden forks, 100 Hug tickets, English flash cards, a meat thermometer, and a letter and number stamp set for garden markers.
And last but not least, {4} 8×10 frames, 1 shadowbox and 42 Halloween balls.
Seriously, if I’m not going to use it…. I’m getting rid of it. Yee-Haw!
