I’ve heard of them, just haven’t seen them in my neck of the woods. I have a beautiful old apple tree outside my door that gets many different song birds in all year round. Would be an awesome place to hang these in!

Birdseed donuts are news to me! My parents are bird-lovin’ folks, so I’d send them on to them to brighten up the dreary midwest weather.

I have never heard of them, but they are so darn cute!!
We have a big huge tree in our front yard, I’d hang several from that, and give a couple to my grandparents who are avid bird feeders/watchers.
KAte says
I just Tweeted out about it. I don’t have a ton of followers, but I know nearly everyone. So I know interest will be high.
E in Upstate NY says
Yes, have heard of Bird Donuts, as have purchased things before from Gardner’s Supply and am on both their mailing and email lists. Do like this company, am happy with everything I’ve purchased from them.
Since have neighbors who feed the squirrels [we have white ones here!], resulting in more than “nature” would support, would need to protect these donuts from the squirrels. Think I’d hang them from bird feeder hanging hooks affixed to the house.
Since don’t have Facebook account, and won’t, email is how I follow you Mavis.

I’ve never heard of them before- when I was growing up in Ohio we would roll pinecones in peanut butter then birdseed and hang these in the winter. In LA there aren’t too many pinecones dropping in the backyard! I would hang these by my kids’ treehouse so they could watch the birds nibble. Hopefully these will defeat our local greedy squirrel Ninja who has defeated all previous attempts to exclude him from the birdseed feast!
Carole Browne says
I have never heard of these before, but what a great idea! My sons always help me make pine cone feeders for our cold little friends but these might be a change of pace. I could hang them on my fre out front then do my best Homer Simpson impersonation! D’oh!

No, I have never heard of a songbird donut! It would fit in just perfect with my husband’s bird feeding collection. He is the bird feeder in this house! We have 22 different types of feeders. We love to watch them! I even had a perfect stranger bring us this cool 3 story bird feeder. He was cleaning out his garage and remembered all of our feeders, so one day he drove over to present us with this cherished gift. It now hangs proudly with our other feeders. I gave him a jar of your strawberry basil jam that I had made.
JD says
Our feathered friends would love this. Very unique and clever. In the spring and summer we put out 60 lbs of seed per month. Yikes.
