{Giveaway Update} Several people were VERY close… Would it help if I told you 2 of the items were $1.00 or less?Β Be specific. π
I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that no matter where you go in the world, the mini bar prices are the same.Β Ten million dollars for a candy bar, and 12 million for a bag of chips. The price never seems to change.Β Ever.
I tagged along on the Handsome Husbands business trip this week.
Not only did I get to enjoy all sorts of free food, I also stayed in a hotel. Mavis LOVES staying in hotels. Especially hotels paid for with expense accounts.Β Yep, those are the best kinds of hotels to stay at if you ask me.
Having your meals paid for isn’t a bad deal either.
Even though I’ve been here before,
Every visit is a little different.
So where in the world did Mavis go this week?Β Would you like to guess?Β One lucky winner will win a gift card to Starbucks (how appropriate!).Β Just answer the following two questions (you may only guess once per day).
#1 What is the street address of the store I am standing in front of ?
#2 Name one thing that is in the bag I am holding (there are 4 separate items… all of which were under $8.95).Β The giveaway will end when the first person correctly answers both questions.
Good Luck!

I know exactly where you were, as I was at the same place! My HH pointed you out several times and said “I swear that’s Mavis!” I didn’t believe him, and now I’m sick I didn’t come talk to you. Great music last night at the dinner, eh? I especially loved the fiddle player, she rocked it!
I am a recent follower of your blog, and you are truly an inspiration!

I’m hoping this one counts since it’s officially the 17th so here goes.
Guess #3
84 Pine Street, Seattle WA
I was thinking escargot tongs since those were $8.95 but then I thought – no way because if you wanted some of those you would have certainly got them at the amazing garage sale last weekend for much, much less. Then as I was looking I saw a ton of cookie cutters. I just knew that you must have bought one that looked like a dollar sign, but after pages of looking, would you believe they didn’t have one? So, I guess I’ll have to stick with the cupcake theme and say… Sur La Table mini muffin pan for $6.95
Alexis says
Guess of the day: address 84 Pine St. and I’m guessing the little whisk you used in your bacon egg post!

Also, what Segway Rental company did you use? Would love to have a girlfriends day out in Seattle and those would be a hit! π
Mavis says
Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner! π
Heather H says
Whew…finally! Yeah! Thanks Mavis…and to think I almost said cupcake sprinkles because you probably are planning to stock up for your mad baking skillz this upcoming school season! π
Heather S. says
I saw that post this morning and was kicking myself for not waiting π So, are you going to tell us the other three things too?
Mavis says
Yes I will π
Alexis says
Dang, that would have been my next guess! I was debating between those and the whisk and went with the whisk. Bad intuition. Congrats to the winner though!
