I headed out to the greenhouse this morning to give the plants a drink and look at what I found. Roma, Stupice and Green Zebra tomatoes plus a few leaves of Romain lettuce. Yeah baby yeah! I’m thinking BLT’s might be on the dinner menu tonight.
Rainbow Swiss Chard.
Spinach. Wahooo! It’s been a while since we’ve had fresh spinach around here and I love spinach salads, so I was especially pumped to see this. We will definitely be having a salad this weekend, that’s for sure.
And lookey here. The Sugar Snap Peas I planted back in late August are finally starting to flower. I was beginning to think the peas were not going to make it.
For the most part, I’m pretty happy with how the greenhouse is working out for us. The only drawback I’m seeing up here in Washington state is, the rain. Just because it’s raining outside and the rest of the garden is getting watered, doesn’t mean the plants in the greenhouse are.
I keep having to remind myself to get out there and water.
Maybe I should ask Santa for some automatic sprinkler hoses this year. HA!

You should collect rain water in a rain barrel or some other type of container(s) and use it to water plants in your greenhouse…it’s free!

Love the green house produce. My garden is frozen and gone here but at least I am still getting green tomatoes to ripen. Those look yummy!
