I had these at a party once and I was hooked once I bit into the gooey chocolate center. It was embarrassing how many cookies I ate when no one was looking! I knew I had to try and make these for my family. The problem was only Monkey Boy was home when I made them. Needless to say they didn’t last long and I’m going to have to make another batch so the rest of my family can try them!
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped {I used regular chocolate, but any variety will work}
Powdered sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla together until smooth. Mix flour and cocoa together in a separate bowl until combined. Add flour mixture to butter mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet {I like to use a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop}. Press a chocolate kiss onto each ball of dough and then form the dough around it, covering completely. Bake for 7-8 minutes. Cool and then roll in a bowl of powdered sugar, coating all sides.
