I love ornaments that have been handmade by kids. I still have almost all the ones my kids made growing up. Seeing them brings back some fun memories of when they were young. Pulling them out each Christmas is one of my favorite things. So in the spirit of handmade kid’s ornaments, I bring you this adorable Rudolph ornament:
Supplies
2 small twigs
Sharp scissors
Twine
Hot glue gun
2 black buttons and 1 red button
Instructions
Cut your twigs so they are equal in length and then use the hot glue gun to glue them together into a V shape. Hold the twig V vertically and place the end of the twine in center of the V where the twigs meet, gluing it in place. Wrap once or twice vertically right where the twigs meet, and then change to a horizontal wrapping direction.
Continue tightly wrapping the twine horizontally as pictured until about halfway up the twigs. End your wrapping by hot gluing the loose twine end in place.
Flip over and glue on both button eyes near the wide end of the twine V. Glue the red button near the bottom.
To make a twine hanger for the top of the ornament, wrap a small piece of twine around the top of one of the twig antlers and secure with hot glue. Repeat on the other antler with the end of the twine piece.
Hang on tree and enjoy!
