Here is another fun activity to keeps the kids busy during the long wait for Thanksgiving dinner. If you have never made them before, gumdrop turkeys are super easy to make. All you need are a few toothpicks, a pair of scissors {to cut the eyes, wattle and beak}, and a bag of assorted old fashioned gumdrops.
If you are worried about the kids losing their appetite for dinner, have them make the turkeys and place one next to everyone’s dinner plate. Then tell them the turkeys are for after they finish their dinner.
Trust me, the kids will clean their plate.
