I looked over at Monkey Boy the other day as he was working on his homework.
“What is that?”
“I dunno.”
“What class is it for?”
“Science.”
Hmmmm….
The Girl is currently reading Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. I have no idea what it is about and the pictures are kinda creepy so I’ve been avoiding it.
A few weeks ago the latest issue of Whole Living magazine arrived in the mail. The Handsome Husband commented on how good the roasted vegetables looked on the magazine cover. So, being the super fantastic wife that I am, I decided to make it. I plotted for 2 weeks about how I was going to score some inexpensive brussel sprouts, beets and an acorn squash. And when I finally collected all the necessary ingredients… I went to work.
These looked so amazing… I wanted to eat them raw. And in hindsight I should have served them raw. I read the recipe wrong and accidentally added 4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar instead of 4 teaspoons. Oops.
At least our nasal passages are clear. 😉
