You know that feeling when you walk into a pastry shop and you want to order one of everything? Ya. Well, that’s pretty much how The Girl and I felt when we walked into Inès Patisserie in Seattle, Washington a few days ago. I had been there once before when I tagged along on one of the HH’s business trips to the city and knew I’d want to go back the next time we were up in that area. So I did.
The selection is not huge. But I kind of think that’s the point. Just a few offerings made fresh each day along with a full coffee bar so you can stop by, relax and get a bite to eat on your way to and from work.
A hot chocolate costs $5 and it’s the real deal. Like as in shaved chocolate. Freakin’ awesome.
I counted 13 offerings, and that includes biscotti. Well, to be fair I also noticed omelets and crepes on the menu board as well. Gaaaaa. If I lived around the corner I’d go everyday. And I’d have to start wearing stretchy pants and I totally wouldn’t even care.
Clean, simple and not too crowded. Just the way I like it.
If you are ever in the area… stop by. You’ll be so glad you did.

Hi Mavis. You’ve asked for bakery suggestions anywhere. I want to let you know about Gayle’s Bakery and Rosticceria in Capitola, California. This place is simply amazing and my sisters and I have gone miles out of our way to visit this place the two times we traveling up the coast from Washington. Gayle’s is a large deli/bakery and everything is homemade and simply delicious. It truly is not to be missed! The address is 504 Bay Avenue, Capitola, CA 95010. Phone 831-462-1200.

What is that gorgeous pastry in the top photo? I’ve walked by there but never gone in, and I see I must remedy that!

This is a little off topic, but I’m wondering where you would recommend afternoon tea in London.
