Oh what a morning. I woke up early, spent the entire morning cooking and have just returned home from dropping lunch off to a crowd of 20 people.
I’m exhausted.
Have I ever tell you I’m on a committee? Well I am. And a few months ago the El Presidente of said committee called and asked if I would be joining them today for the annual 8 hour meeting. “I think I have to work, do you need someone to bring lunch? How about I drop off lunch instead.”
“Okay, that works. Thanks Mavis.”
“No problemo.”
SWEET! Now I don’t have to go. And besides, making lunch for 20 people will be so much easier than having to sit in a chair for 8 hours and write a bunch of crap down I told myself.
Ha. Ha. Ha.
I think I’m a total idiot because it took me nearly 8 hours to make all the food.
Oh well. Who cares, it’s over. People have been fed, and although my kitchen looks like a bomb went off, I didn’t have to sit in a chair for 8 hours and stare at a wall, or the back of someones head and wonder why they don’t use dandruff shampoo.
So see, it all worked out in the end.
Just in case you were wondering, I made 5 salads. 3 of them were easy peasy and 2 were a little more time-consuming. Below are pictures of my favorite two. I’ll write-up the recipes for you a little later because trust me, you’ll want to make them.
I also made 4 desserts. Raspberry chocolate cake, chocolate dipped strawberries, brownies and chocolate chip cookies.
I suppose once I recover, and clean up the kitchen, I’ll probably post the recipe for this 8 layer chocolate raspberry cake as well. Or maybe not. I mean, do you really need another recipe for chocolate cake?
Peace out Girl Scouts, I’m off to take a nap. Stay out of trouble while I’m gone.

You. Are. Insane!
Or maybe just a miracle worker.
It all looks good enough to eat.
May I have some of your energy? I need to clean my house.

I’ll give you some of my energy if you come clean my kitchen. 🙂

Thanks Insane lady!
Let’s switch it up. I’ll come and clean your kitchen if you come and weed my garden. 🙂
