I have been very nice, and would you believe I bought the Hutzler 571 last year when Amazon had it as a daily deal for just a couple of dollars? I thought it would slick bananas for me to dehydrate, but they are too thick for that. Instead, I sliced, dip in melted chocolate and chopped nuts, and freeze them for a healthy treat! My kids always loved frozen banana pops, and I like having just a couple of slices occasionally.
I also have the Kitchen Aid meat grinder, and it’s fine if you don’t try to put any fat through it. Very lean meat only is the best way to keep your sanity. Cut it into thin strips and it will go through very quickly. I’ve done a lot of round steak with it, and I always have to add some oil to cook it with or it would be far too dry.

P. S. One of those reviews on the Hutzler 571 on Amazon is mine! I wrote it and a whole bunch of other ones just a couple of days ago! We must be thinking alike!
