I went to my favorite crack house today. The Home Depot. They had just received a giant shipment of cyclamen plants and I was able to pick from the cream of the crop. Sweet diggety! This hot pink one caught my eye and before I knew it I was rushing home to plant it.
I don’t know about you, but this time of year is absolute torture for me. Any sign of color {other than green} Freaks.Me.Out. Just being surrounded by a teensy bit of color is like seeing the light at the end of this dark, grey, tunnel called winter.
Spring is almost here people.
Can you believe it?

P.S. The Girl Who Thinks She’s a Bird said I should not use the term “crack house.” But c’mon people. We all have our weaknesses, and The Home Depot is mine.

I need color – maybe I need to head over to Home Depot and get me some bright pink flowers.

I love your containers they are so cute. It doesn’t seem like spring is almost here where we are but I know it’s only 6 weeks away! I did like you I went and got me some flowers to brighten up my window and the outside snow

Mavis I’m with you, any type of color in this dreary and drab weather makes me so happy. I can’t wait for spring!

Not even a speck of a sign of my bulbs peeking through here yet– I looked yesterday! We live in a cold pocket out here in Graham, so not surprised. The daffs bloom about a week later in my yard than everywhere else.
Funny story about cyclamen. I was given one as a gift. I kept it alive in my kitchen for a couple of months. It finally started turning yellow & dropping leaves, so I gave up on it and stuck it outside in the corner of the porch– forgot about it. Last month I happened to look over in that direction, and holy smokes, it was putting up flower buds! Brought it inside, watered it, and it’s been putting out beautiful flowers all month! I now love cyclamen & plan to acquire some more!
LOL @ “crack house”. Love it. Humor needs a bit of grit to be funny. For real.
