Mavis Mail – Jenna From Missouri Sends in Pictures of Her Animals

A big THANK YOU to everyone who has sent in their photographs and stories. I hope by sharing other peoples pictures and stories here on One Hundred Dollars a Month we can all have a rock star garden this summer. Keep them coming!

We live out in the country on 20 acres. We have two ponds, and I thought it would be great to get some ducks. It would be so nice to see them swim around and play in the pond. Well, they don’t go to the pond much. They just hang around in the yard! We don’t really have a garden, just a few tomato and pepper plants in containers. I don’t have much of a green thumb. We have twelve hens total (the Easter eggers aren’t laying yet) and the one rooster. Here is my Plymouth Rock hen eating watermelonWe eat most of our eggs ourselves and give away some to friends and family.

We also have Suzi, an 11 year old Chocolate Lab and Charilie, a four year old cat.

I have also attached my favorite picture, a picture of my cat I took last Easter. These were all taken in Lebanon, MO.Also, there is a picture of our chicken run my husband and I built (we bought the hen house).
