I went in for milk, and came out with 4 pints of Haggen Daz. Do you ever have shopping trips like that? NEVER go shopping when you are hungry {or have just had your teeth pulled and your mouth is sore}. π No excuses here people, and YES, they were all Delicious!
Local Fruit Stand $5.55
Avocados 3 for $1, bananas $0.59 a pound and Fiji apples $.50 a pound. Talk about some awesome prices. I think I’ll probably go back and get a few more apples.
Anniversary Gift – Free thanks to Farmer Ted
Not only did the HH present me with 2 giant boxes of fresh corn for on our anniversary last week, but he got them for FREE thanks to our friend Farmer Ted. Seriously, does it get any better than that? π

No budget and no coupon shopping last week. We were in the San Juan Islands for 5 days. Spent a bundle and had a GREAT time! π

Just got two big boxes free from my produce guy. Mostly Romaine & butter crunch lettuce, a bundle of spinach, one orange bell pepper & green beans . So far, I’ve canned 4 quarts & 1 pint of green beans (go figure- hubby loves his green beans canned!), sliced up the bell pepper & vacuum sealed it into a little Foodsaver canister and chopped up enough Romaine & Buttercrunch to fill my 1 Gallon Foodsaver canister and cleaned and left unchopped enough leaf lettuce to fill a Foodsaver 3/4 gallon canister for use on sandwiches! I’m about to clean the spinach and refrigerate some for salads and freeze the rest. But I’m looking for other ideas for the rest of the lettuces. I can always put them in my composting tumbler. Ideas?
