I’m taking the day off from posting deals to sleep in and enjoy the scenery instead. The Girl and I are in London, England and we’ve got to save our strength for high tea, tours and Hyde Park.
If you think there is something in particular you think we should see or do, let us know.
Have a great weekend,
♥ Mavis

I LOVE London, and especially walking around Hyde Park. I travel a lot and one of my favourite museums is the Victoria and Albert Museum. If you haven’t already been there, I highly recommend it. And you might as well check out the Savoy Hotel, now that is finally open again. At least walk through the lobby, and maybe splurge on a cup of tea there too.
And the food court in Harrods!!! (but best to go when you’re not super hungry).

The V&A is awesome! We went to Harrods yesterday and plan on going back today. 🙂 I love it here.

The British Museum and Kew Gardens are wonderful.

London is my fav! If they still have it, go to the Laura Ashley store in Kensington before you go to Hyde Park for high tea- it’s not far from there. And of course, Harrod’s grocery store! Amazing!! buy a bag from there- they are chic and cheap souvenirs.

Of course, I’d have to get super excited for you two, and put my comment in the Tower of London post. Leason learned: read for the day before responding! Putting in a plug for going to St. Paul’s – the actor’s church. A real gem and a great place to take a break when walking the city. Has a lovely garden too! In the Covent Garden area and a really unique spot. More of a description in my original post. Was one of the highlights of my trip to London. So thrilled for you both. Have a grand time.

You need to go to Kensington Gardens and find the statue of Peter Pan. High tea at the Orangery is great. They have the best scones. Take in a play, you can get half price tickets. Go to the grocery store and get lots of goodies to take home. Have a great time!!!

Go to the Half Price Ticket Booth (make sure it’s the real one) in Leicester Square and see what shows have half price tickets available for that evening. The do this to try to fill up the house and you can often get amazing seats.
And while I’m sure you’ve already done it, the Millenium Wheel (London Eye) always gives a spectacular view of the whole city. It’s absolutely breath takings.
I can spend hours and hours in Covent Garden – beautiful crafts, clothes, jewelry, etc… all made by the people there, and for great prices. Two of my most favorite souvenirs from any place I have ever traveled were bought there – a hand blown glass pendant and a purse made from recycled men’s suits.
My husband took some stealth pictures of the crown jewels when we were there. Gorgeous! Although now that I think about it, I probably should have posted this anonymously…
Crap – now I have to figure out how to get myself back to London. Mavis, you and The Girl are bad influences!
