This week I organized all my receipts. In years past I’ve just tossed them all in a box and then had to fish them out at tax time {which took forever to organize}. But this year? I’m on it!
2. Run, walk or crawl a Marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k race this year.
I’ve mapped out a route for my upcoming marathon. Now I just need to drive it and see if the mileage is correct and pick a sunny day to walk/jog it. 😉
3. Remodel our Master Bathroom, Master Closet and Monkey Boy’s Bathroom.
4. Finish Every Room in Our House.
The HH and I went out again looking for a mirror for the powder room and came home empty handed. I’m about ready to throw in the towel and just order this one online so I can be done with it! What do you think? Too boring?
5. Turn Spare Bedroom into a Cozy Home Office Space for myself.
I don’t know, I think it might be time to call it a season and pull up the tomatoes. 😉
7. Build a Path into the Hillside for Easy Access to the Upper Garden.
8. Limit my personal spending to $100 a month.
I didn’t buy anything this week. Not even those cute pink wool socks from Costco. I have plenty of warm socks already, but man, I would love to have some more.
So far in October I’ve spent $128.19
In September I Spent $28.73
In August I Spent $27.29
In July I Spent $50.82
In June I Spent $6.00.
In May I Spent $26.50.
In April I Spent $18.46.
In March I Spent $42.44.
In February I Spent $32.52
In January I Spent $84.33
9. Purge… Weekly. Find 10 things each week to donate to the thrift store.
10. Read 1 book a week.
This week I picked up A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety and Furiously Happy at the library. I had no idea Jimmy Carter has authored 2 dozen books. Did you? I’m really looking forward to reading it.
And guess what? The spine wasn’t even cracked on the Jenny Lawson book. I LOVE NEW BOOKS. Especially free ones from the library.
11. Slow Down.
This week I only left the house twice and as a result I managed to hook 4 small rugs. I also worked on my giant {24″x40″} flower rug.
12. Canning
I haven’t canned anything in a few weeks but I do have some new recipes I’d like to try.
Did you set any goals for this year? If so, how are they coming along?

Is that the snoopervisor’s car behind you in the picture next to your tomato plant?
Ha!

Former President Jimmy Carter is an excellent writer. I began reading his work over 30 years ago with The Blood of Abraham. The book you selected will be my father’s birthday gift this December. I think you will enjoy this newest book.

My parents have that exact print in their home… I think I’ve seen it in years past at Bed Bath and Beyond or the like. Can’t seem to find it now though.

Did you take some books to put in that free book library you passed on your run? I love the pink costco wool socks too. I am waiting, they should run them $2 off in the next month for a week. I buy my molasses at the Dollar Tree, since I usually don’t need a quart or more.

OMG! I LOVE this! I love your blog. I post monthly updates on my blog but I like the weekly updates better. I like the personal spending updates too. The rugs look really cute. I may need to look into rug hooking (like I need another hobby). Thanks for sharing!
