I’m going to admit, when I first read that November 17 is National Take a Hike Day, I really considered the people I’d like to tell to take a hike first. It’s a short list, but there is still a list. Then, I realized they probably meant get outside and walk through nature type hiking. I thought that was an equally good idea, given the obvious amount of hostility I have pent up ;).
While it’s probably a little chilly in some areas to hike today, around these parts it’s perfect. The weather is crisp. The leaves are a million shades of red, brown, gold, yellow, and orange. So slip on those smart wool socks, and get yourself outdoors to celebrate.
Now what are you waiting for? Get out there and celebrate!
