My goals for 2017
Get 7- 8 Hours of Sleep Each Night
What a weird week! There was pretty much a 36 hour period where I didn’t get any sleep, then I slept too much, and then yesterday my eyes and head hurt so much that I just walked around in circles all day. But hey, tomorrow is the start of a new week and now that all the things that were effecting my sleep are pretty much out of the way, I am looking forward to a restful week. Life, you just gotta go with the flow sometimes.
Make Saving a Priority, Not an Idea
Another week and another flight. And a whole row to myself to boot! Luckily this time around I was able to cash in some frequent flyer miles and one leg of my journey was free. I LOVE when that happens!
Live a little
Gardening is kind of a funny thing. From March to October it’s all hands on deck…. but then winter rolls around and it’s like “Oh look, all my strawberry plants are dying back. Oh well.” There’s no nursing them along, no urgent need to run out and pick away the dead leaves, nothing. Just oh well. I’ll deal with it in the spring.
I think the biggest thing I’m looking forward to when I break out of suburbia someday and move to the east coast is winter. And the forced stillness of it all.
Visit 52 REAL Bakeries
I meet up with my parents last week and Mom and I were supposed to check out a new bakery in Ballard but time sort of got away from us and we didn’t make it out there. 🙁 So far we’ve made it to a whopping 30 bakeries!!!! I was of course hoping to hit 52 bakeries this year but clearly, I won’t be able to get to 22 over the next 14 days so I’m thinking I will continue working on this goal in 2018.
Have 1 “no spend” week each month
I’m thinking it will be the week after Christmas.
Start a Line of Rug Hooking Patterns Mission Accomplished
Any hookers out there? I’ve got 13 of my patterns listed on Etsy and Lucy and I have been working on a few more which I hope to be able to offer in early January.
Turn My Wool Stash into $2,500 Mission Accomplished
This week I sold $332.85 worth of goodness in my Etsy shop which brings my total sales to $13,147.45 for the year. Sweet Diggety!
Purge 250 Items Mission Accomplished
I stopped counting after I hit to 400 item mark but this past week I came up with another 7 items I no longer need/want. 5 of which my mother claimed.
Mission Accomplished Learn to Crochet
I tried to love it but it’s not for me. I’m a hooker at heart.
Dote on My Husband Even More Than I Do Now.
Breakfast in bed this morning will include fried potatoes, sausage, eggs and an English muffin. Life is good!
Lose the Muffin Top Mission Accomplished
For the first time in like 10 years…. Muffy has not made her annual holiday appearance. SHOCKING, I know. Maybe I have this whole sweet treats portion thing finally under control. That, or I’ve upped my water and tea intake this year and there just isn’t anymore room left for insane amounts of sweets.
Wear out {most of} the clothing I already own.
If wearing pink corduroys and brown turtlenecks isn’t good enough proof that I’m trying to wear out all my clothing before buying something new…. I don’t know what is.
Try 52 New Recipes
Mrs. HB and I are getting together next week to make food. I’m seriously hoping to put together a couple of meatloaves and to try out a new pie recipe.
Read 52 Books
I am currently listening to How Not to Run and B&B on Hoopla and so far it’s pretty funny.
